North Dakota Football Team Scouting Report

I thought the play where they actually hurt JJ was when the play was blown dead on a false start and they drilled JJ well after everyone else had stopped playing. In that case there was no flag on UND, and 2 flags on UM (false start or delay of game, then personal foul for retaliation) if I recall correctly. I think he limped around for a couple more plays and got sacked and then UM took him out of the game for good.

If I were you I'd go with the group think and not agree with me.

Not to mention your team's other cheap shot on JJ at the 5:14 mark of your video. You can't tell me he didn't hear the whistle blow. Everyone else sure did. Your video doesn't have the cheap shot that knocked JJ out, probably a reason for that as the Sioux probably realized how flagrant it was, too. I respect what Bubba has done there but I don't respect cheap shots. I hope karma is a beach.

Maybe that was karma from one of your players a few years back cheap shotting the PSU dude and ending his future NFL career?

Think you've got it the other way around, Severin Campbell's season was decimated by an intentional cheap shot block by a PSU safety they lined up as a slot receiver with 1 job, run full speed into the side of the D end when the ball was snapped. We lost two DEs in that game. Severin's brother (one of them, I believe he's got 5 or 6) plays for the Arizona Cardinals.

You are correct, I was mistaken on the team. It was Cody Balogh on a Weber State player. It happens, and as others have stated, it's good that MOST teams (UM and MSU included) don't coach players this way. We had a guy cheap shot a player a few years ago against drake I think, pissed me off.

"Senior nose tackle and defensive captain Derek Johnson injured his knee in the first quarter of last week's 18-10 loss at No. 1 Montana and will miss the remainder of the season. He tore his ACL, MCL and pretty much every other connective tissue when a Montana player chop blocked him.

According to McBride, the injury is the result of a blatant cheap shot by Montana offensive lineman Cody Balogh."

I watched the play where Balogh went low on a Weber player that was already engaged high. Watched it quite a few times on replay. Definitely a personal foul. Intentional attempt to harm? I doubt it but who knows? He certainly didn't announce his intent in an interview prior to the game as UND players did. And it wasn't flagrant, as in running laterally and diving into the knees of another player like PSU did (saw that one in person).

How about you provide us with quotes that are clearly stating UND's football team had intent to injure Jordan Johnson. I'll be waiting.

It was a video interview shown by the root sports broadcast. Defensive player saying his goal was to hurt the QB and end his day.

He said the QB and his mother should be scared. You're not the first UND fan to doubt your boys said this stuff but its true. Another said it us their goal to knock other players out of the game.

So a defensive player said his goal was to hit the qb? How dare he.
Apparently you tolerate dirty play over dere in Nor'Dakota. Explains a lot.

You attempt to refute what I said as if it couldn't possibly be true (apparently because it would shocking/wrong if someone said it) and then another poster corroborates what I said so you change your position to "its no big deal". Pure chicken shit. Hey I just thought of a mascot name for your team...

Our coach, in his first interview after being hired, said he wanted to get after the qb on defense to the point of their mom being nervous. That's literally the point of playing defense. You guys are soft.

By the way, you guys have the national leader in sacks. Does that make him dirty because he's making the opposing QBs life hell every game? Nope. That's his job. Cause he plays defense.

While I wouldn't predict anything about about the offense tomorrow; I have no doubt that UND will learn very quickly the Griz defense is far from soft.

Neutral party who watched the game here:

UND played an absurdly dirty game. I hope the Griz utterly embarrass the no names.

You really don't see the difference between "making a player's mom nervous" and sacking the QB? You may not realize that there is a pretty fine line between clean and dirty play. Yes football is a violent sport and players (and most likely their families) accept that but when you motivation is to instill fear not just in the player but in his family then that crosses the line. If that kind of thought is what it takes to get your players to play good football then your players are for shit. I'd continue to beat on you but you are a UND fan and so deserving of some sympathy. I'll let you off easily and be done trying to reason with your stupidity.

No, your team is not soft. The posters on this board that are still bitching a year later and blowing quotes WAY out of proportion are soft.

Thanks, BDub.

If I was UND I would put the ball in 22's hands as much as possible. Santiago is a player. Damn.
