How mobile is your qb? Against MSU Murray killed us over and over again on third and longs with his legs.

Murray (at this point in his career) is like a running back that can throw. Jensen is a QB that can run. He doesn't run a lot by design like MSU does with Murray. Even less than UND does with Studsrud. Jensen played safety in high school as well so he can lay out some guys when need be (did it against PSU and ISU). I get the feeling the coaches don't really want to put him in a lot of situations where he's running much though.

While I like qb's who are tough and can and will put their head down and deliver a hit, given UM's many injuries to qb's in recent years and the qb injury that already occurred this year, I would rather see Jensen go down before the hit, either diving down or sliding. I assume that is not his nature, and he does look like a backer. I'm fine with him running some called plays and, of course scrambling.

Yeah, you could tell on that one rushing touchdown he could smell it and just was not going to give it up. He is a gamer and plays to win. I am liking the way he is progressing. Although I do feel if Phillips hadn't been hurt then MT still would of beat EWU and be 5-1 right now.

Thanks for the report BW. However, I may have to stop reading them because you always make me nervous about the next game.

I agree with the prognosis that UN's D will not be able to contain the Griz in either the passing or "new" run game. 13 season ending injuries is way too much for almost any team to overcome. I almost feel sorry for them. Their run game is will score some points but the Griz D will get enough stops.

I too would like Jensen to slide but.....this is a kid who refused trainer's treatment to his sprained ankle because he "had to get back out there" and then led his team to a come from behind win in his high school state championship game. He's a total gamer.

I agree with PR...would rather see him slide, but understand that sometimes that's just not in a players nature. And watching him truck that PSU defender for a TD was a thing of beauty. Love having a QB that's not "fragile"....
