About a dozen Dartmouth players went to the portal in 2923. Mostly graduates, who can’t play in Ivies by rule.

Starting receiver at Baylor in 2022. Backup qb at Pitt.

Teams have one game in the books and everyone seems bent on drawing conclusions.

First games are not that predictive of final outcomes. After everybody's 4th game, then I think it is fair to start the speculation on who is trending up and who is not.

Who showed the best in their first game? I would say that Idaho State faired better in their game against San Diego State, even though it was a loss. You have to be a little impressed with what coach Hawkins is doing in Pocatello. He's doing it with what was thought to be an empty cupboard.

I was a little concerned about how Northern Colorado looked in their opener with a new coach. I feel that Ed Lamb will bring that team around, given enough time.

Most teams will show a marked improvement in week #2, and again in week #3. By the 4th game, teams will be hitting their stride. Maybe not peaking, but running at near full speed.

Weird, I remember when San Diego upset Cal Poly in the playoffs not too long ago. The same CP team who upset SDSU that same year. Same Pioneer conference as Butler.

2 playoff wins in 10 years. Is that the kind of conference that you think should be competitive with UM?

Sac St has 1 playoff win ever, and they think they are competitive. Under your view, SS sucks.

Also, given your QB evaluations up to this point, it's no surprise you don't see a difference between Vidlak and KB.

The qbs received such poor coaching it harmed their development. The head coach agreed and fired the person doing the coaching, unless you think BH can not judge coaching talent.

All the QB’s was enough talent have done well. Don’t think all but one got good coaching.

Rosey was fired primarily because he wasn't getting the job done as OC, but his QB coaching isn't the reason KB is still our 3rd stringer and Abbott washed out.

Your first sentence is not accurate for certain non-schollie schools. The big sky conference is full of players who couldn’t get scholarships at top schools. See all of UM’s linebackers last year, all of whom were walk-in’s.
