No Jamer this weekend

I'm not sure where the Missoulian gets its information, but it projects both Stockton and Art starting tonight, apparenlty with Wood losing his starting position as well

Loss of Jamar means that Selvig will be the only player that shoots better than 25% from the three point line. Selvig is shooting 39%. Jamar was hitting 41.5% of his 3 pointers. Shawn stockton is hitting 25% from 3 point line is the best one after Selvig and Jamar, so best candidate for replacing Jamar. Art Stewart is shooting 20% which is the same as Wood. Could be a toss up here, but I like Art.

What will really be missed is Jamar's rebounding. Jamar is the second leading rebounder on the team.

I'm too lazy to look it up myself, but surely Cherry is shooting better than 25% of his threes.

13 - 52 (25%) go look it up. You can get your calculator and check it. 13 out 52 is 25%. Cherry and Stockton are both 25% shooters from the 3 point line. Stockton is 3 for 12.

Griz just aren't that good a shooting team from the perimeter when you take Selvig and Jamar out.

Even with Jamar and Selvig's numbers in, the Griz are not a good 3 point shooting team. They've improved a little lately, going from somewhere very close to the bottom to #308 out of 346 for 3 point %. That's why every game I hope that they keep the 3 point attempts to 15 or under.

Without Jamar, who is leading them in 3 point %, I really hope we don't see a lot of 3s chucked up. Not that the Griz won't improve on that...but I'd much rather see them try to work it inside to Qvale (who is #10 in the country in FG%) or get something where one of our other players gets a decent look at the bucket from inside the 3 point line. We are beating teams this year with out quickness, athleticism, and inside game.. I like that a lot more than living and dying by the 3 :)

Announcer for UNC said broken finger on his shooting hand (I think). The audio is really chopping out on Big Sky TV, so I'm not 100% sure that's what he said...
