Huge disappointment. Seems like a missed opportunity on a few levels ...

I feel okay that UM, fans, and eGriz did everything that was reasonably possible. I assume we all knew it was a long shot at best.

This late in the season, with their phony "championship" in play, the situation just made it more of an uphill battle. Then, with two top-10 FBS (and Power-5) teams meeting, our case became pretty much hopeless. Yes, I know they don't necessarily cover the game at the venue they visit (this time on ABC), but they do count on getting a big, rabid crowd from the two fan bases.

I thought it was a bit better than a long shot, but alas that was the case. They did what their masters told them was best for the mother ship. Bottom line ...

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm feeling like the homely girl whom the QB emotionally manipulated into being his study partner by hinting at a relationship, then after she helped him ace his science test and baked him celebratory cookies, he ghosted so he could take the pretty cheerleader to the prom. Maybe it was all a ploy and we were NEVER going to get invited to the prom.

But a large part of me also believes we were never in serious contention, but Gameday wanted all the free social media marketing they knew we’d bust our asses to provide.

I was just thinking about this… how much exposure do you think we got anyway out of all of this? We didn’t get GameDay, but is there any positivity as a result of the last two weeks? From what it sounds like, there are a lot of FBS college fans who are angry that we didn’t get it.

IF its true that Herbstreit is calling the OSU game so he would not be able to get from Missoula to Columbus for the broadcast, then it is total BS. Getting Griz and Cat fans going when they knew all along it would not happen because Mr. OSU himself couldn't broadcast another Ohio State game is, well, lame.

As long as the OSU - MSU game starts after about 3:00 mountain time, Mr. Herbstreit would have no trouble getting to the game.
