Now we just need a rejection from Colorado State.

Yes, let's keep a coach in the league that has owned us! Are you crazy?! I hoped he would get the OSU job and now I hope he gets the CSU job. We need him out of the BSC.

Hearing CSU is looking elsewhere.

FCS coaches not in big demand for FBS jobs unless they also have FBS experience. He has none and is thus not a front runner anywhere FBS

Agreed. His likely shot will be as an OC. Wish it were sooner rather than later given his stellar record against us.

Maybe...... Just maybe, Beau will realize that the FBS offer he thought he would get won't come. The announcement of going FBS in 2016 will open the door back up for him to lead the Griz. Maybe?

Many democrats live in Oregon. Great place to raise more dems. Costal weather and Starbucks, perfect for some?

Madison is just as left.
These days, most college towns are. Here's an oddity: The ACLU is also generally perceived as left-wing ... yet they never seem to raise free-speech or "due process" issues when it comes to campus governance. The JJ case and the many other rape allegations are examples of the latter point. And, somehow, it's okay for libs to shout down a "conservative" speaker, or force them to cancel out ... but the reverse case is labeled as "hate speech," or whatever.

I'm guessing having Barry Alvarez hovering over you probably played a part in this.. why else would Bielema and Anderson leave for lateral and/or lesser jobs?

And now they announced that Alvarez "may" go ahead and coach the Wisconsin Bowl game. No hovering there!!

Appears we are not the only ones wondering the same thing about Wisconsin:

That's the word on the street at least. <<< Always wanted to say that.

Oh also the word on every message board you click on tonight that has anything to do with Wisconsin athletics. Micromanager that could care less about the success of the football program.....or anything athletic for that matter.

"FIRE ALVAREZ" threads abound but good for OSU.

Yea.. If only Alvarez wasn't so bossy a multimillionaire coach wouldn't lose 59-0 in the most important game in his coaching career.

Madison, Wisconsin is an attractive town, has a good University, and avid fans.
Yet the place is like the second circle of HELL when it comes to liberal democrats.

Im sure there is more to this story that has'nt come out. He probably got all kinds of death threats from rabid fans and had some big boosters along with Alvarez dress him down pretty good after the beat down to Ohio St. Decided the pressure of big time football was'nt worth it and had his agent call Oregon St. He does have a lot of pride.

Unfortunately, it's in Wisconsin.

Great beer, great Cheese, the Packers. Love it. Just doesn't have any mountains.

There are mountains... They're dolled up in green, usually shoving curds in their mouths and working on their expanding waist size. They get off on state farm commercials and go by names like Heidi and Betsy.
