Might be helpful to read this first. It doesn't seem like Haslam or any other member of the University staff would be anywhere near this. It's a booster thing, that has emerged from the under-table-days of yore.
Not suggesting or endorsing this guy or his start up. I have no idea what he's been able to do other than what's mentioned in the Kaimin article attached. But from years of making my living as a marketer, I'd suggest they're not putting enough effort into to it to be successful. On the other hand, given current the current economic climate, it may not be as easy as you might think to draw interest and/or funds. But you have to start somewhere, so maybe an actual webpage that folks who are looking to find out what is possible might reference.
