The Lady Griz had a road breakthrough at tough EWU.
According to the preseason coaches and media poll, the competition was supposed to be:
#1 Portland State which got beat at home by the Bobcats.
#2 (Lady Griz) Beat EWU on the road.
#3 Northern Colorado which got beat on the road at Idaho State.
#4 Bobcats who got beat on the road by EWU (which the Lady Griz then beat on the road).
So, the closest preseason competitors already all have one loss.
This weekend's home game for the Lady Griz against Idaho State (which beat N. Col. in Pokey) should be challenging.
So far, so good - couldn't be better. I wasn't too excited about this year's Lady Griz team but they are playing "team" basketball about as well as it can be played. See you Saturday at 2 for the Idaho State game.
