U serious dude?

Completely.
Well, it couldn't be less entertaining than the NHL, that's for sure.

We don't get fouls for running into each other. We get cheers.
I played hockey for close to 15 years... still not entertained by world class athletes constantly bumping and slamming into eachother because they play on the same size rink squirts play on.

How does the rink size have anything to do with the level of play? Doesn't basketball use the same size courts?

Yes, but they're not on skates. Put those guys on olympic sized ice and watch the NHL's appeal increase dramatically. Right now there's not enough room to move. All the rule changes and line moves won't do half of what switching to olympic sized ice could do.

I agree but Bettman is a moron. Have you been to a Maulers game in town? They are actually a pretty good show.

I have not. I need to to get my gear out and get playing in an adult league or something. My girlfriend and I were going to do that but haven't gotten our bags out here.

That's cool. I've never actually played myself but my brother-in-law is an official in the state so he's gotten my interest to the point it is. I've always liked the game but never knew much about it.

and p.s. high school basketball courts are smaller than college and pro courts.....just fyi

Not so much any more. While you can find published court sizes for Junior high, high school and college courts, the only one that is seriously used any more is the 94' x 50' (college). I have designed a handful of basketball courts for grade schools thru high school and no one wants to use any of the smaller court sizes. The junior high and High school sizes have for the most part been abandoned in new school design. You are correct, you will find in a lot of very old schools these old sizes.

Go check out the relatively new Stevensville elementary gym 94' x 50'. The smaller sizes just are not as flexible and usable as the full size.

I honestly wasn't sure if they were different sizes or not.
