Nguyen

I understand that you don't just "get over" a concussion. My whole point was that if he had FAIR CAUGHT the ball with a dude right in his grill, he wouldn't have gotten rocked the way he did. He made a questionable decision (who hasn't?) and he's dealing with the consequences.

Also, dude is a football player. Pretty sure he understands that he could get a concussion playing. I'm not cheering that he got hurt, nor was I rooting for him to get hurt. Fact is, if he doesn't make that decision, he is probably doing his job next week. :coffee:

This is probably un-popular, but I don't really feel all that bad that he most likely got a concussion. Un-fortunate? Yes, but if he did what he was supposed to - call a fair catch when someone is that close - he wouldn't have gotten rocked. :twocents:

OK, you win.... scummiest post of the year (other than next one down that doesn't count)

For the record the coaches weren't just ignoring him. As already pointed out he got up with a teammate and headed to the sideline, but the second he veered and touched his head Justin Green was out there grabbing him extremely quickly. The people I was sitting with were all talking about how we appreciated how quickly he reacted.

The point I was making earlier. The ONLY member of the UM staff who seemed to pay attention to the situation was Coach Green. Thank goodness for him. Any official word from UM on John's status?

He was slow getting up and having issues doing it but then started to walk to the sideline, not in a strait line more zigging and zagging but did know enough to tap on his helmet to let them know he needed off the field. Lots of concussions you don't know who let alone what you are.

Guaranteed. The guys who criticize Nguyen because of a muff earlier this season - have never fielded a D1 punter, let alone in a game situation. If he's getting paid in the NFL, ok, but he's not so STFU. It's kinda like when you jump on Hermy or someone for missing a tackle on a 4.4 guy in open field when you'd be lucky to get to your dropped beer before it was half spilled on the pew.

You have to be a true blue asshole to judge a guy who takes a hell of a hit in one of the most dangerous positions to play when only a few plays earlier takes one to the house. But these assholes are almost giddy that the kid gets hurt to keep him off the field because he might fumble the ball. Yes I do get a bit nervous when he has the ball but also just as excited to see what he may do with it as well.
