Nguyen is UM MVP

Reasons Alpha likely has huge forearms.
1. From his endless job of stirring the pot.
2. Well, we all know the other reason.

Great job Peter, you will be missed.

I guess it goes to show that some people will never learn, never grow up, and never move on. I guess if you had any type of real job, real life, or real friends/relationships that you haven't crushed to oblivion, you might be a happy person. I feel sorry for you.. truly.

Really?

Life advice from you? Do we really want to go there?

Oh and no need to feel sorry for me, you and I both know that there are few people as happy as I am, you just take care of your own life and I am pretty sure I can manage.

BTW this is Mike Schlosser replying to this not anyone else, you have my number and I am available to talk anytime or you can take the cowards way you seem to have chosen and take shots at me online. That goes both ways, its up to you, dont care either way.

Tell the drunk to get a job and quit wrecking peoples lives. You are right he does need to learn, grow up, and move on. That we can agree on.

First of all Nguyen has put the ball on the ground more in one game than Moore did in his career. FACT

Second nice hijack of the thread........this thread was about Nguyen being gone and the celebration that should ensue and 3 of you make personal attacks against a poster which is a clear violation of the rules.

Leave it up to me to get this back on track and talk football.....Next year we have a better stable of running backs that will help us Nguyen without Nguyen.

This is a clip from an email Mike just sent me:
"The Griz are MY TEAM I actually go to the games, live in MT, pay taxes and support the team. I dont take punk pot shots from behind a keyboard."

Maybe you all understand this, but just to be clear.... not this Mike (I wouldn't email Alpha in an emergency)

Peter Nguyen was the UM MVP this year. Good call Alpha. http://www.gogriz.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/111812aad.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

"Running back and returner Peter Nguyen was named The University of Montana's 2012 Steve Carlson Award winner, given annually to the team's Most Valuable Player.

Montana's football team awards were presented by Griz head football coach Mick Delaney today (Sunday, Nov. 18) at the squad's annual banquet at the Doubletree Hotel.

Nguyen, a 5-8, 182-pound senior from Seattle, Wash., led the Grizzlies in rushing with 926 yards this season - the 14th gained in one season at Montana. Nguyen, UM's offensive team captain this year, is ranked 51st in the FCS in rushing (84.18 ypg) and 50th in all-purpose yards (118.73 ypg). He finished his career ranked sixth in career rush yards with 1,985 and all-purpose yards with 4,338.

Wide receiver Sam Gratton, a 6-0, 198-pound senior from Billings and Greg Hardy, a 6-5, 245-pound senior tight end from Fairview, were voted the co-recipients of the Terry Dillon Award (outstanding back or receiver).

Gratton and Hardy tied this season for the most receptions with 29. Gratton had 397 receiving yards for 4 touchdowns, while Hardy had 273 yards and a score. Gratton had 121 career catches for 1,423 yards, and 13 touchdowns. Career-wise Hardy had 68 catches for 648 yards. Both players were three-year starters.

Jake Hendrickson and Danny Kistler Jr. were recognized as Montana's outstanding offensive linemen, and the co-recipients of the Paul Weskamp Award. A 6-3 ½, 300-pound senior from Gilbert, Ariz., Hendrickson started all 11 games at left guard this season. A two-year starter, Kistler, a 6-8, 325-pound junior from Seattle, Wash., started 11 contests at right tackle this season after starting 14 games at left guard in 2011."

And well deserved!! Peter has been an incredible asset to this team and will be sorely missed. Best of luck to Peter in life's chapter (and get your brother to play for the Griz)!

Peter's brother HAS verballed to the Griz.

I'd just heard that as well - that's great to hear!

And CONGRATS to Pete - he deserves it, fought hard all season long and put together a very good season. I don't know if I've ever seen a back as shifty as him in a Grizzly jersey... ever. I can still remember watching him in 2009 fall camp, darting and dancing past guys, getting 1st string reps by week 2, having 1st string defensive players pissed b/c they couldn't tackle him and Bobby/Phen with big grins knowing they'd landed a very special running back.

Why, does he fumble a lot too?

Exactly. Maybe he is not his brother's keeper. I have two brothers and a sister who went to MSU. I sure am glad people don't mistake me for them.

Congrats to Peter! I met his mother at a rest stop on the way to a recent game and learned what a nice lady and good family they must have!

We will miss him on the field but am thankful that he will always be a part of Griz Nation!

His fumbling was legendary, but he cleaned that up. Always that expectation that the fumbling would return, but it didn't. Some on this board just won't let it go and will not admit the turnaround. But, that's another story.

Alpha's always "another story."
