NFL Draft.....

Hopefully Tripp, as a 6th round pick, will stick in the NFL as well as Caleb McSurdy has as a #7 having signed on with St Louis for $930,000 over the next two years. Considering that Jeff Fisher also has Johnson and Reynolds on his roster the Rams may be challenging the Dolphins as a Griz magnet? (The Rams are going to give the Seahawks and 49er's some real headaches in the NFC West this year...not a bad place to be)

I've been saying the last 2 years that the Rams have had the best draft. Last year was an incredible draft for them and this year is pretty solid. I personally don't think they needed a 2nd round CB but that's also because I am a huge Tru fan as Tru produced really well. I wouldn't be shocked if they won a super bowl in the next 10 years

Fisher has been a great supporter of the Griz. But the Rams have a long way to go to match up to the Dolphins when it comes to Griz players on the roster. Maybe the Rams will take Coyle...that would be great news.

Tripp was drafted in the 5th round.

Only two drafted from the BSC, #171 (Tripp) and #226 (Van Dyk from PSU). Not a showing of power.

Big South - 3 (Liberty and 2 CC)
CAA - 2 (Maine and Towson)
Ivy - 1
MAC - 1
MV - 3 (NDSU, SD and Ill St) - the Ill St guy didn't play this year, got kicked off team, had transferred from Ill
OV - 4 (East Ill, 2 Tenn St, Murry St)
Pioneer - 1 (Marist)
Southern - 3 (Furman, 2 Geo So)
Southland - 0
Sun Belt - 4

19 FCS players

A bit strange; many project Tripp for the inside; if I wanted an ILB, I would pick Coyle. Tripp makes more sense to me outside or at DE.

I don't think I ever seen him projected as an ILB, and I followed all the draft projections leading up to the draft. I agree Coyle is a better ILB. Tripp would excel in a 3-4, as the "Joker", much like KC used Derrick Thomas, primarily as a pass rusher. He has the lateral quickness for it just needs to get a bit stronger and he will with an NFL strength program.
