NFL.com Draft Article on FCS (Jordan Tripp)

I find it really weird how every single NFL scout assessment online raves about Tripp's athletic ability, yet many posters on here don't think he is athletic enough for the NFL. Maybe GM's should be following Egriz more closely and paying less attention to their scouting departments.

It's fun to read and give opinions...take it all with a grain of salt. The long snapping idea looks like something a guy could hang his hat on. Covering in open space an issue...? I can understand that comment as well. McCoy, Charles, Rice, Peterson, Forte...um yeah...that sounds brutal. I think his ability to shed, or not able to shed will prove even more difficult. :egriz:

Yeah they NEVER miss on their assessments.

Face it NFL coaches and scouts dont know that much more than the average superfan. They miss more often than they get shit right. Most of those guys are uneducated good ole boys that got the job not because they are qualified but because they know somebody.

I'm just going to throw this out here.....
Gil Brandt is the same, THE VERY SAME, dude who, before the season started, said that DeNarius McGhee is in the top 4 QB's eligible for the draft.

Take it for what it is.

Just sayin'

I always laugh when people start talking about QB's in the draft, especially FCS QB's , there are almost always about 10 QB's total drafted and IF...and that's a big if...one is taken from FCS it's always late 7th round. Last year the only one was Sorenson in the...late 7th round.

Nope. Most scouts are highly educated in the game and know more about evaluating players than any keyboard warrior on egriz. Scouting is a critically important job. Teams are investing millions of dollars into these draft picks. They aren't going to trust Bubba from Dixie to scratch his ass and scribble down 40 times and notes and take his word for it because he's cousin Ed's boy. Best programs in the NFL have the best scouting departments. They will miss and some teams seem to miss badly, but nobody on here would ever be hired to be a scout. Nobody on here is qualified and would F' it up even worse. If egriz poster were scouts, every draft pick would be an NDSU player and would only be assessed on their ability to "wrap up"...

Yup, you are absolutely correct. Nice post. A few comments made me laugh too.

Basically this. Alphas comment was retarded, as usual so can kind of ignore it.

But I'm taking serious bet offers on Tripp's draft chances. Seems like a lot of people here think he won't be drafted...if you feel like losing your money hit me up in a PM. I'll accept any offer.
