Did Boehning use any post moves, or were they all put-backs? Or did he hit some shots from around the key?
One was a nice move to open up an and one slam (which he of course missed the free throw for), his final basket was another slam off a nice pass on the baseline, and he actually hit a jumper from a little beyond the free throw line in the first half as well. Beyond that I don't remember how else he scored.

He also had two reverse layups. one with each hand I think.
Now that you mention it that does sound right. I was actually really impressed with those too!

Thanks a lot guys - busy holiday season, but you've piqued my interest enough that I'm going to have to watch that game just to see the Big Guy in action! :D

I'm having some problems posting a photo to egriz. Anyway, if you click the link, you'll see my photo of one of Boehning's dunks.

Awesome! Also like the left-handed push hook! (He's not a leftie, is he?)

Gotcha covered, GJ.

Maroonandsilver asked, "Argos have a Nation? :o"

More like a Club. 1st rule of argo club - don't talk about argo club! 8-)
Years ago, when I found that there something called the "College of Great Falls," I was somewhat mystified. I mean, "Why?" And they called themselves the "Argos," which I assume connected with Jason and the Argonauts of Greek legend which had almost nothing to do with Malmstrom Air Force base except that its first commander had a dog named "Demosthenes." At that time, SS Kresge (KMart) had donated a ton of money to redo a roof at College of Great Falls. I thought, well, K-Mart, it must be a good deal .... then they made it a full-fledged "university" of Great Falls.

The "College of Great Falls" was started in 1933 as a small Catholic women's teachers college. It later expanded it's offerings and was the only catholic college in the eastern diocese. In the early 1990's they changed the name to the University of Great Falls. They are still a small university with an enrollment of about a thousand students.

By the way, they have never been affiliated with Malmstrom except to offer classes to the airmen.
