Ref just threw out a Ewoo cheerleader, thats taking charge.

I saw that as well. SMH.

Even in your wildest imagination can you picture that happening in the BIG 10 or the SEC??

Ewoo announcer : "The officiating in this game has been God Awful".

Seriously. When is this league going to DO SOMERHING???

Nothing is even comparable. The Pac12 is notorious for the worst P5 officials. I watch a lot of their games. They are NOTHING like BSC. I'd take the 3 worst Pac12 refs over the best 3 from the BSC

Been watching a lot of BBall around the country, including a bunch of conference tournaments. Trust me, he's right -- I've seen better officiating at high school games.

And FWIW, even using home court venues is not bringing out many crowds in most of these tournaments.

just lost the conference--sucks

Yes it does. Terrible execution by Ewoo on their final possession.

But frankly, after our lack of effort today, we probably didn't deserve a conference title.

I want to be upset about today...I really do. But I just can't be all that upset. The Griz simply didn't play well when some adversity hit today. They got out early and as soon as the whistles started they quit playing as a team. Northern Colorado simply played better after that. That being said we still could have hung a banner with an EWU win, but I'm not even that upset about that. NAU got to keep playing last year in a tournament and as far as I'm concerned this year's UM team is a better team than last year's NAU. Regardless of what happens in Reno I think this team has more basketball to play. And of course there's Reno to think about. If we would have had a chance to host today I would be much more upset. Obviously the end result in Cheney makes that an impossibility but even coming into today the game just really didn't matter all that much. We still get a bye and we will still have to beat some tough teams in Reno, that doesn't change whether we are a 1 or a 2 seed. I hate watching the Griz lose, and I especially hate watching them get outplayed...but today I just can't be all that upset about it. Off to Reno I suppose to hang the only banner that really matters!

IDLTG, you make a good point about the tournaments. Yes, if you miss the NCAA, playing in the NIT is nice. But playing in a tournament like the CIT means you can go deeper and get that much more practice time, and experience playing good teams.

Correct. It's not a very steep hill to climb to find better teams.

I think a championship banner is a pretty cool thing to hang up. I may be in the minority here, but it would have been something the players could always point to down through their lives. Weber earned theirs by battling until they won. We didn't.

Another downside is if we should happen to win the tournament, this loss will be taken into account during the seeding and it won't look good.

honestly....I am not sure the loss to UNC will make a huge difference for seeding if the Griz win the tourney....

Don't know either, box. I was thinking the difference between a 15 and a 16 seed. Is it possible a BSC team would have one of the play in games?
