Griz play the Spuds

77-73

That was Harrell not Jois but yeah badly bobbled pass inside stopped what should have been an easy bucket when they were only down by 3. Two bad possessions for EWU in a row. The one after McBroom (who is 0-10 so far tonight) shoots up a 3, misses, EWU gets the offensive rebound then Bliznyuk charges over an Idaho player. 32 seconds left in the game, Idaho going to the line and up by 5.

Thanks for correction. Breunig had 16 rebounds, not 15 as you said in the Griz thread.

Yup, and Dunn had 10 points not 8 as you said in the Griz thread
That said either of us might have got those wrong due to ESPN's stats being off quite often. ESPN had the wrong final score for the EWU vs Idaho game (76-73) for a while instead of 77-73 like it actually was. They eventually corrected it, but it took a bit.

Maybe this will be a revenge tour for the Griz. Lost to Sac in the last regular season game against Sac (and did so in a horrible way blowing a 20 point lead), then beat Sac in the tournament. Lose at home to Idaho and look like crap while doing so...then beat Idaho in the tournament? Then Weber last of course
Personally I was hoping EWU would pull off the win though... Idaho's defense is quite a bit better than EWU's (especially at the guard position) which gave our guards a lot of trouble in that last game. Kind of like what they did to McBroom today (who ended up 0-10). Plus it would've been neat to see one more Breunig vs Jois game.

Where did you read this?fanofzoo said:Think you could find any of this info on the "road to Oz (reno).
Read this morning that the BSC doesn't care about attendance at reno only that everybody gets a trophy for coming because they need to show that somebody was there.
What a cluster.

Reno and the Bsc are putting on a great tournament. Lots of signage and promos for the tournament in the downtown area. Any attendance issues are the fault of the fans,if you are not in reno this weekend you probably were not going to Ogden or any other host site beside Missoula.

Not many fans can just ask for a whole damn week off work and get it. I asked for time off, and was denied. The most that could be approved was 3 days, which were the days the GRIZ were not playing. They should have played the Ladies tournament in 3 days, then followed it with the Men's tournament for 3 days. I cannot afford 5 to 7 days in Reno currently with the current structure. I am sure that is the case with many fans of all fan bases.
Great for you, you are in a position to have the time to get away to the tournament. So quit ripping the fans who are busting their ass in taking care of their financial commitments by working. Regardless if I am attending the conference tournament or not, there is not a bigger fan of GRIZ basketball than myself. The same can be said for Everett, Citay, and Grizjournal as well.
This is one of the best arguments for a pre determined location. I was able to plan back in November to be at the tournament. I was only able to take Thursday Friday off (along with normal sat/sun) so I missed mon thru wed. I know you guys are all huge Griz fans and I apologize if you feel I was bashing you.AZDoc said:mtgrizrule said:Mavman said:Where did you read this?fanofzoo said:Think you could find any of this info on the "road to Oz (reno).

This is probably the biggest issue, that I bet gets addressed in the offseason.

My point is would you have got the time off to make last minute plans to spend three days in Ogden?
