Next up 3/10 BS Tourney vs. Sac St

The Griz guards need to run time off the clock and quit driving in transition. Two bad plays in a row. Looked like a bad call/reversal on the charge too. Game would be over if the guards had hung onto the play.

And it's good that the Griz can keep trading basket, but I'd like to see them clamp down on defense. They could start to pull away with a few more stops.

Edit: Need to type faster. That D was better.
 
Griz running some clock. 66-51 Griz up with about 1:30 to go. Sac fouls, Breunig going to the line to shoot. Hits both, Griz up 68-51 now. He has 22 points. Kind of wondering if his leg is bothering him though. He's grabbed the back of his leg a few times this half.
 
Great game by the Griz. Dunn is playing awesome. Let's hope that continues. If so the Griz will be really tough to beat! GO GRIZ!!!!

Agreed. The three guard lineup worked very well today. Was fun to watch too.

Griz win 70-53!

Wright ends up with 12 points, 6 assists 3 rebounds a steal and only 1 turnover.
Breunig had 24 points, 15 rebounds, 3 blocks, 2 assists.
Dunn had 10 points, 2 assists and 4 rebounds.

DeCuire picks up his 20th win also for back to back 20 win seasons! Pretty impressive for his first 2 years :)
 
Breunig, 24 and 16. Wright and Dunn 12 and 8. Assists were 14-7. Rebounds were 40-26. 47 to 36%. SS highs were 14 and 11. Turnovers were 8 to 7. Fouls 14-17. Nice game and win.

Holy Crap I can't believe there's another game coming up... I guess I know what I'm doing the rest of the night....
 
Terrific game by the Griz. Even when the offense kinda stalled midway through the second half, they didn't let Sac make a run to get close. Then they put the squeeze on late to finish the job.

Breunig's 20 points was obviously the biggest deal. But I just looked at the box score and see the Wright and Dun both also scored in double figures ... and Moorehead had 8. In fact, every starter scored and they had 18 points off the bench. Damned impressive ...and important for tournament basketball.
 
Nice to see they find a way to blow em out even without a really hot three point shooting night. Good help D. Good ball control save a couple late miscues on the break. Rolling!
 
Griz looking good! Can win the tournament if they play like this! Love Gfeller, but this speedy guard offense is great! Coach has this team on a great course!
 
Griz seemed to be leaving their feet, and then passing, a bit too much. Got hung up and made mistakes in the air. On the other hand, it was a very nice effort for the entire game, with no big lapses and only a few dry spells scoring buckets.
