Next up 2/6 at PSU

This team would be so much better with Dunn at the point, and Wright as the shooter. I asked my cousin about Wright, and he told me great player and shooter, but didn't fit their schemes.
 
Half time and UM is trailing in a game that they are favored to win...sloppy ball handling, poor shot selection, open lanes to the basket for PSU....DC needs to get a new game plan, this ain't workin' unless the shots go down...
 
Whatever happened in the 2nd half against Sac has carried over into the first half of this game. Many many mistakes on defense giving PSU way too many easy buckets inside. Too many turnovers, and too many stretches where we just couldn't throw it in the ocean. At least we started scoring a bit towards the end of the first half and outrebounded them or this would be beyond ugly.

39-30 Griz are down at halftime.

Breunig didn't play much towards the end of the half after I think he lost Spickerman giving them an easy dunk inside.
 
Seems to me the Grizzly are playing way to fast which is causing a lot of turnovers. Win tonight gets the Griz back in first. GO GRIZ!!!!

Exactly. But, it isn't run and gun..it is run, pass, pass, pass and take bad shot or turnover. That being said, a good start at the second half and they are back into it...Breunig is not playing much. Kristovic(?) is doing ok and not fouling as much as usual...that is a big contribution from him. But, ALL of the Griz have to be ready to receive a pass...they don't seem to have a clue as to where the ball is going.

PSU seems to make easy shots.

Montana dominating only on rebounds, 16 to 11. Breunig and DeJong leading on RBs with 3 each.

Lopez leading with 7 pts, Breunig with 6. PSU's Spickerman with 10 pts.
 
This has nothing to do with the game, but with so many Griz fans in that crowd, and a team like this, why doesn't UM send their cheer leading teams to fire up the Griz fans?

Griz looking much more active on defense so far this half. No standing around and losing their guys inside for easy buckets. Also looking much better on offense too so far. 49-43 right now.
 
49-43 and good play by Krislovic...and the point out for PSU. If the Griz want this, it is time to make a move.

At this point it's about an even swap. I've liked DeJong's aggresiveness. He just needs to be in control more. Stop stepping out of bounds.

I'd like to see more of it. DeJong seems to have a lot more touch on the offensive end, but K is more effective now on the defensive end. However, DeJong has had some nice blocks.
