Final. Martin over 1,000 points.
Holy crap! I thought he only had about 30 points this game! I did step away for a few minutes, though.
He. is. just. that. good.
I have to wonder how next year's team will operate. Big shoes to fill but someone seems to step up every year.

You are absolutely right! However, I'm enjoying the ride. I Will worry about next year, later.

Have the griz used a full court press at all this year? I don't recall seeing any, maybe some 3/4 here and there, but it seems like we don't use pressure much at all. I selfishly wish we did just because I love full-court presses.
We did a handful of times at the beginning of the 2nd half vs SUU on Thursday. It was pretty effective. Forced a couple turnovers, and if we didn't force a turnover, it disrupted their flow - out of the 5/6(ish) times we did it, we only gave up 1 easy basket.

I had thought this was likely DeJong's last year, and maybe it still is, but after the few minutes this season, it appears that the latent talent might be there.

Does anyone know the stats from three-point land tonight?

ThPt 6/18 for 33%, 26% first half, 67% second half

So MB needs roughly 120 points to be the number 1 all time scorer for a player only playing two years at UM. He has 10 regular season games to do it. Barring injury I think he does this easily.

No, he needs more than 1,000 more to be the school's all-time leading scorer

This is for a player only playing 2 years. He is behind AJ.

I see now the schedule hasn't been updated and he only had 5 regular season games left. Might not be easy but is doable. I would think AJs numbers probably include post season as well

I see what you mean. I read over the qualifier

The band playing "Up with Montana, Boys!" That always brought chills to the spine hearing it live. Jud Heathcote brought the band back to basketball with Lance Boyd as the marching band director. It was amazing how many of those older traditions had just disappeared, homecoming king and queen, yearbooks, cheerleaders ... Jud was so old-fashioned that way; he wanted it all back. ASUM had copyrighted the fight song in 1929.

As a big Ohio University fan, I get the same feeling whenever I attend games in Bozeman, which is in Montana.

I would support the abolishment of the infernal DJ system. During team intros last Saturday the band attempted to play Up With Montana in phrases between each player's introduction BUT was drowned out by the DJ. Disgusting. Only real people... and real people playing music will turn this around (in this regard I believe basketball is much different than football, which can benefit from DJ music).

I promote more support of the UM Pep Band for providing game musical pepping. It would be easy to support the updating of this tradition.

Lance started a great tradition, prompoted by Jud.
