I'd say that it is the problem...both teams being hit. I watched a game last week end,and same thing; fouls are the focus. It will kill the game if they are not careful. Who'd pay to see this?

They call ticky tack fouls on both teams constantly then someone gets run over by 2 people while trying to dribble and no call. Don't blame DeCuire for getting a T there (I'm assuming that's what happened, audio is all garbled). Both coaches have to be pretty pissed at how this game is being called.

Halftime score 36-24 SJSU is up.

9-23 shooting (32%), 1-8 from 3 (13%), and only 5-12 from the FT line (42%).

Talk about ice cold...jeez... Also getting out-rebounded 24-15. Really miss Krslovic's tipouts like I said earlier. Him with 3 fouls in what seemed like 1 minute sure didn't help.

That includes the cheerleaders? Small ball, small crowd, big fouls, bad shooting...hmmm

Well all of our bigs having 3 fouls makes it tough to rebound, but yeah there's a lot of problems with how we're playing that have nothing to do with the officials. The big problem with the officiating is it's effect on the fan experience.
 
Even with bad officiating making it difficult to get in sync, the shooting is pathetic so far by the GRIZ. No excuse to be 5 of 12 from the FT line. Wright again is taking the ball into the paint with relative ease. Not sure what happened to Oguine this game. He is actually looking like a freshman so far this game. The fouls called on both teams have been BS. Sorry, but this kind of officiating is absolutely terrible for the college game. What good is a shorter shot clock if refs are blowing the whistle so damn much?

Agreed on all parts. Officiating is horrible for both teams (and makes the game absolutely unbearable to watch) but the Griz shooting is very disappointing and surprising. It's not like SJSU is playing amazing defense out there either, the Griz just can't hit anything...even the FTs.

I'm confident this will turn around though...the good looks are there, they have to start falling eventually.

Wonder if the Refs went into the locker rooms and called fouls during the halftime...

2nd half just started.

Oguine had several games like this last year after he was injured. He recovered and gained his form and I think he will do the same this year. He tries to do too much. Lopez is seemingly not in the game when he is on the floor. I hope the coaches let him know...maybe the small crowd, the lack of noise, the size of the empty gym is having a toll on the griz..this is not the same team that played Boise but even then, the fouls were too much...The only interesting part of this game is who will be left at the end...
