Lady Griz played their standard outstanding Selvig-coached floor game & led for most of the contest.
• Officiating was standard fare from veteran Big Sky women's crew and didn't favor either team... though they blew a 10-second call late agains the LG.
• But you could see it in their faces at about the 7-minute mark. They tightened up, forced several bad passes and badly missed 4-5 wide open treys. Several other shots in the paint were also open but banged hard off the glass.

The Lady Griz are their own worst opponent right now. Can't say if they'll learn to play with the same kind of relaxed intensity they do over the first three quarters. But they have the talent. This is a team that I'd bet on making a late-season run & taking the trophy in the tourney.

As a Griz fan, I think it's pretty damn cool that a Big Sky team has him as an assistant coach. Even if it is our arch-enemy.

One of the greatest NBA players of all-time, someone all b-ballers can emulate in terms of how to play the game.

I don't know how much of the success of the Lady Cats this year you can attribute to John Stockton, but I know Binford gives him some of the credit.
