Mild extremes of weather can offset any human activity. Playing in a football game in Louisiana or Florida or South Carolina in late August or even all of September can be pretty disheartening to teams , individuals, etc., not used to it.

They're sayin' much as any other group of individuals would do; go in with a positive attitude and get to see what it's like. Adjust, if possible, once they get there. No sense in anyone ballyhooing the weather before the game; wait till afterwards to determine if it was a factor or not.

Once they get through warm-ups and start running around a little the main thing is keeping the head warm, a lot of body heat excapes through the neck and head area, and the extremities, hands and feet, covered and well maintained to last an entire game. Other than that, like they say, heaters on the side should help. It's only for a couple hours. Why sweat it.

Now, if it was ninety degrees at eight in the evening with a high humidity registered, that too can cause problems. Be well educated. The best sun tan I've ever gotten was March/April in Texas no less.

The weather forecast, if somewhat possibly accurate so far in the future, calls for 18 °F with partly cloudy and 0 % chance of percipitation. Should be a clear field, slightly chilly, yes, no precipitation, with a SprinTurf better than a grass field besides. The same playing surface they have in Kansas City for the NFL Kansas City Chiefs known as Arrowhead Stadium; though theirs seems in worse condition than ours these days. Shouldn't be any problem with footing and passing as not much of a wind is foreseen, at present. So what? A little chilly but that's it. no biggie. Good for both teams.

They sound very naive.

Actually we may be the naïve ones. Sounds like the play of a wise business man. Plant what you want others to believe, do not reveal what you really know, display a poker face so to speak not letting others know what you know. Then prepare and strike. I believe Mick and his staff understand this. When going to battle do not let the other side know exactly where you stand and what you know and how you are going to go about doing it. The less said the less the other side has to work with.

How does someone post this, after reading that article. It baffles me...

Their coach is a very good businessman....don't be played by what he says or does not say in the press. His players will also be prepared as what to say to the press. He has used the press to set the stage for business dealings many times. In his coaching as in his business dealings he prepares very well and covers his bases. He has been very successful for a long time in meeting and overcoming obstacles. Will his players be able to preform in the cold. I do not know. At least the Griz Football team should be able to practice in the cold this week. We have not played a cold game this year either but it is very difficult to prepare without being in the cold. My views are from being involved in several of his business dealing over the years.
