News from NAU

I guess Hauck is not available.
Or oh shit we can't let a coach go that just took us to the playoffs.

Think this move further points to Hauck coming this way as they wanted him too

How does this point to Hauck coming to Missoula?

Hauck's son Robby plays safety for NAU, and has been tearing it up on the scout team as a freshman. With Jerome originally leaving it looked like Bobby was a potential candidate for the NAU job.

The theory is that he was going to NAU, but that all changes because he's going to Montana, so NAU had to reverse course. Emphasis on "theory".

That really does make sense. But I sure hope we don't get that crap head back.

Also the AD that made the decision to dump Jerome left for a new job, and it doesn't exactly make sense to dump a coach that just made the playoffs.

BH is on his way from San Diego to speak to Haslam. He was going to make a run at the NAU job but they extended Jerome's contract by a year. BH apparently assumed that Stiit's contract would be renewed.

Football Scoop confirms Hauck is in talks to return to MT

Montana (FCS): Sources in the profession tell FootballScoop former Montana head coach Bobby Hauck is a candidate to return. Hauck served as head coach for the Grizzlies from 2003 – 2009, averaging over 11 wins per year (never with less than 8 wins), twice taking them to the FCS Championship game. Hauck then went on to serve as head coach at UNLV for five seasons. He currently serves as special teams coordinator at San Diego State.
