NEW VERBAL: RB Drew Turner Kalispell Glacier

Having Moses and Turner will be a nice thunder + lightning combination down the road.

Gotta love cleaning up the top in state talent. Still think there's a few good ones on the table. Morley, Shuman, and Wheat come to mind.

Congrats to the Griz on landing Turner. Fantastic running back prospect. Keeps his shoulders square to the line of scrimmage nearly every handoff. Very rarely will get himself into bad situations running the ball. His lateral movement isn't great but neither was Troy Andersen's in high school and we all know how good of a runner he is. Anyway, Drew can bring a missing element to a Bob Stitt rushing attack: a consistent north to south runner with a combination of breakaway speed and a "tough-to-bring-down" attitude.

My Top 5 heading into the fall season consisted of Sulser, Turner, Askelson, Germer, and Graves. The Griz have four and the Cats have one. Circumstances of recruiting aside, talent is talent and the Griz acquired 4 of the top 5 in my opinion. As for the rest of the Montana recruits, a ton of movement is expected from 6 to 30 by the end of the fall season. Some kids I had high expectations for have not exactly shot out of the gate (Pepe & Estes specifically) while others who I had ranked lower are dominating (Janacaro, Sumner, Jenks, and Morley). As for the offensive lineman, I still think the best five are McElroy, Welnel, Quick, Shuman, and Copeland. Karson Wheat is on a bad Deer Lodge team right now but he is still balling.

Hauck Hauck, haucky bobby hauck hauck. Bobby Hauck Bob Hauck has the most Bobby Hauck Haucky in history. Nuff said.

Does the early signing period (I think December) start this year or next?

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, pleaee keep this thread about Drew Turner!

Secondly, cue the "We didn't want him anymore because we just got a verbal from an out-of-state two star RB" in 3....2...1.

This is a big, big get for the 2018 class.

But but but they own the state. This makes 6 of the top 7 to the Griz. Not sure which state they are trying to own. This is an in state ass kicking. I

The state of depression.

I have not seen him play....if he was from another state would Griz have offered him? If so great. If not good.

...can you blame the guy he just wants Hauck back!

Huge get, very seldom can you find a guy like him, speed and power. If I remember correctly, he had one of the fastest times in the state last year in the 100. He could play a couple of different positions. Griz are cleaning up the state this year. Even the most loyal Cat fans can't argue with that.

The way he keeps his balance and bounces off tackles reminds me a bit of Chase. Great get for Montana, we will have a very talented backfield for some time.

Glacier's RB Turner chooses Griz

Great story and insight into the recruiting process. When it comes to verbals there are many moving parts that go into the decision. It's not an easy formula to get the players you want.

Amie's lede here is priceless

or as the bobkitties say when they get a recruit - MOOB

Interesting how all the recruits say how much they loved the coaching staff and how impressed with the staff they are.....

Seems like the people that really matter all really enjoy the staff

..its great the people love the coaching staff but the bottom line is that they have to start winning championships...got the talent now do something with it.

Kind of reminds me of FSU.. all that talent on both sides of the ball then underachieve in the playoffs
