New Uniforms

Griz have been wearing current jersey set since 2020 and we always see a refresh every three years.

Any word?

Kind of think it will be a surprise given there are no players on the new poster.

I said this last season, but my best guess is that they'll be maroon & silver and white & silver versions of the blackout jerseys we wore last season, as these are Nike's newest jerseys.

I doubt it. That would be a lame home/away set.
Bobby prefers 24pt bold MONTANA on the chest, not 11pt montana.

They definitely could be slightly different stylistically from the blackout jerseys, since those were a one-off, but from looking around at other team's Nike jerseys for this season, the front team name font is either smaller than our current ones or not there at all.

As a partner school with Nike, however, we're kind of expected to wear whatever the newest jersey is, so not sure Bobby's personal choices matter as much there.

They could also keep the shoulder stripes thing going and make them more like Boise's new unis.

That's what it was with the previous uniforms. We would've heard something from the athletic department right now
It's been 3 years for as long as I can remember, with the only exception being the cross-stitch shoulder pad jerseys of the Pflugrad/Delaney era.

2004-2006 Shoulder swoops
2007-2009 Shoulder stripes
2010-2013 cross-stitch shoulders
2014-2016 Very boring, big Montana, many color combinations
2017-2019 Even more boring, small Montana
*2021-2023 New shoulder stripes *(no football in 2020)

You're probably right that it's pretty late in the year for new ones, though. Even if they do it next year, my guess is still that it's the Vapor F.U.S.E.'s they wear for the blackout games in a slightly different style, unless Nike comes out with something new for 2025.

For our previous jerseys, we started wearing them in 2016. So we wore them for four seasons before moving to our current ones.

Four years seems like a long time considering the abuse those things take. Gubner's uni got practically torn to shreds several times last year.

they don’t wear the same jersey for four years, they just utilize the same style for four years. Pretty sure they get new versions of the jersey every season or as needed.

Please forgive my ignorance, but I was under the impression that they got new jerseys every season in the physical sense, and it's just the design gets updated periodically. I'm with you; I don't think a lineman's jersey could make it more than a season, if that. I'd love to hear from someone more in the know.

That reminds me: Do people remember those mesh tear-away jerseys from the late 80s early 90s? RBs must've gone through at least five per season.
