Need a FRESH overhaul, out of 1990 practice jerseys, into 2020 UNIFORMS.

Goal isn't to keep old guys half chub; goal is to look relevant and attract 18 year old dudes/prospects and casual passer-by fans (both male and female) clicking thru the football channels into permanent, long-term, die-hard Griz fans. Dull, dated practice jerseys don't get you there (young prospects and casual passerbies into commits and die-hards).

Such as what? Give us examples....

If you have to ask, game is over before it's begun.
Survey any young, casual fan of football that has any bit of chutzpah or swag and you'll soon understand (hopefully).

Just make them look like fresh threads made in 2020, not some 1989 crusty government employee dress shirt with wrinkles and pizza sauce stains.

So there are currently no examples that you can show us that meet your requirements and we are left to make our own solutions?

I am serious in my inquiry as I would love to go back to the copper, silver, and gold.

Do you not watch any other college football? Flip thru the channels any given Saturday and ask any 18 year old (guy or girl) which uniforms are badass and which look like their grandpa wore. Pretty simple resolve.

These helmets were kewl with all maroon unis when jordy & co wore them for night playoff game. Thought they were headed in right direction. Surprised they went back to 1990 crusty practice unis.

Clothing designers actually spend time (years) and money (lots) to hit the fashion and performance mark. They don't just rest on their laurels and say, "well we're a "Nike elite" school, so we are good we don't have to do a damn thing. " Sorry to burst your bubble, but there's 10,000 "Nike elite programs," and we're probably closer to the bottom end of that list (so not on front of nike designer mind's. More like an afterthought and pain in the ass project to kick out so they can concentrate on real things).

"But we have 3 alumn that work at Nike...." Right, so does every college in America - there's 75,000 people that work at Nike. Good portion of them went to college somewhere too.....

Just make it look like the U put effort into modern day unis, and not neglected them "cuz we're a Nike elite program. "
Heck, hunting clothing nowadays looks, feels, and performs better than old camo or even the Griz unis. But you can still buy name brand "Realtree mossy oak" at Walmart for $5 on the sale rack and wear it out to dinner at McDonald's. Doesn't mean it's the right thing to do or wear in 2020.

Mikey, no copper, silver, gold, please. Those are not the "old" colors and, besides, every attempt to use approximations of those colors has looked like crap.

Thank you for your example and your explanation. I personally don't care if my team's uniforms make a fashion statement or not, but I support you stating your opinion. That's why they make chocolate and vanilla ice cream.

I know these are not the "old" colors, but I like them. They are pretty unique, not like maroon found in many other teams. They are the official school colors, not the spirit colors of maroon, black, and silver.

I also know this isn't a popular opinion here, but I here a lot of positive comments about copper, silver, and gold on game day. Especially in the stands.

I understand your sentiment, but there is a difference between simple, clean design and modern materials and manufacturing techniques. It's my opinion that the current uniforms are clean and beautifully simple (NOT plain). I also am willing to bet the materials and manufacturing used to create our most recent uniforms are up there with the best in college football. So, are you saying we need more flashy uniforms? Or are you saying we need somehow better quality manufactured uniforms?

Stick to the brand. Forgive me, but are Clemson and LSU in the championship because their unis are super trendy? Pretty sure both of theirs have been the same for decades.

Maroon tops, Montana across the chest, silver (not granite) helmets, Griz script, done.

Last ones were great, just make the Montana a little bigger.

While your poll certainly appears to be scientific, when have you ever seen copper, silver and gold uniforms? The burnt orange and babyshit yellow is no closer than maroon and silver.

When these newest uniforms came out I was disappointed that the Montana script was so small. I wonder though, was it cheaper to do it that way? Remember, they chose not to put names on the back to save money. Did it cost less to just stitch the small letters than to sew large letter patches (were they patches?)? Perhaps with spending the money on names that will change if that was the case. On the flip side, maybe that was just the design on that type of jersey. I thought that the Griz always sported the large MONTANA their jerseys but looking at this article about past uniforms it's interesting that the jerseys worn from 1998-2000 and 2001-2003 had small script.

Boy, all the times I've nearly walked out of a stadium because the uniforms weren't hip

Maybe you should change your egriz handle to Zoolander.

Agree 100% = larger MONTANA.
& thought that when I saw the pictures of Dante at the sugar bowl

I believe this year. Hope they are similar to the last uniform. Literally the only thing I would change is to make the "MONTANA" on the front of the jersey bigger. Other than that they are some of the best in all of college football, in my opinion.

I agree. Don't really need to change anything.

Nothing scientific about it, just an observation and worth exactly what you paid for it. I'm not denigrating the maroon uniforms, just stating that I like the copper, silver, and gold.

Flash is only good for a casual fan who’s not gonna spend $50 or whatever it costs now to go to a Griz game just because they look pretty in the unis. Dress em up in shit brown and win a natty and I guarantee you your gonna see more fans then pretty unis will bring. Show more some attendance numbers where teams fan bases grew after they switched to a new hip uni. Pride, tradition, and WINNING will keep and grow our fan base.

Clemson unis are modern fit, material, & style - one solid, sleek color head to toe and modern fit and modern material. Griz unis are practice uni garbage thrown together by a hobo dumpster diver.

Make it at least relevant to 18 year old recruits and casual, young fans deciding which team to dedicate their life (and future game day experiences and charitable remainders) to. Why would you NOT want either of these?

I wonder if we would have had neon jerseys and helmets if we would have had a better game in Weber? It would be interesting to get a QB's perspective on whether it is an advantage of disadvantage or neither both receiver wise and DB wise.
