I'd like to see maroon helmets at some point... would be cool with the white & maroon unis.

Maroon Helmets with the griz paw on the sides. I have seen that before on here not sure but may have been Willie that did these. They were bad ass!

I would love to see all maroon for Griz kitty this year. The helmet mentioned above, maroon tops with just silver numbers, no names on the back or any other stripes. Maroon pants, no stripes, and maroon shoes.

Willie, if you are around and have time give us a look at how this would be.

That would be cool, but I still love the cursive Griz on the helmet... it would be so cool to have a white or silver in maroon combo.

What's wrong with that? Willie, I believe, even came up with that, altho the claws were pointed out. That's too much Ducks & skews the Griz paw look, which is with the claws always up. Consider this, altho minor: When our linemen get into their stance, opposing linemen see a pair of claws aimed at them.

Y,know? This "issue" of black in uniforms, at least in my limited estimation, is of no concern to Black players, if it was ever a concern. I don't know where this "issue" came from. Of course, I can't speak for Black players. Like all athletes, they want to get a good education and play for a school, regardless of its colors. Is this just a PC thing? It sounds like reverse discrimination, to me.

UM should go with its traditional school colors and forget whatever trends are out there. The question is, "Is this about negating racism, or is this about a school winning games"? Why does race have to be an issue to the extent it involves designing a school's colors to include that consideration, if, indeed, it does? I'm sure it's a non-issue with Black players. I'm sure they don't consider a school for the amount of black it has in its uniforms.

Besides the obvious issue of money... why is everyone so opposed to multiple uniform combinations like Oregon? It obviously did a lot in terms of PR for the Ducks.

IMO, the issue is money. Add to the fact that, to me, it seems just plain frivolous and silly to have dozens of uniform options. The uniforms do not play the game, the players do -- and they are where the emphasis ought to be.

I absolutely LOVE that uniform!

I think the paw on the helmet looks OK. WTS, I would respond to those that support it, but I'm not talking to them at the moment...
