Your kidding... right Ray...???? Maybe an hour or two too long on the lake? That picture could have evolved from alternative sources besides the player's name on the jersey. ;) :egriz:
 
I am going to go out on a limb here and say I bet the picture of the "Rogers" jersey is not what we will see! It maybe a combo but not one matching photos.
Leak some "photos" and get all the speculation running!

I do think we will see a matte maroon helmet.nit sure with a Paw or Griz script. Will be happy with either. I also think jersey will have the paw ontop of the shoulder is slightly offset similar jersey color. We have seen this type is jersey on egriz.

We will know soon enough. Lets home these new helmets and uniforms are just icing on the cake. I sure would like to see our Griz steamroll through the BSC.

I'll be surprised if this is it. First, Nike loves putting that goofy looking collar on every authentic jersey that they make. Practically the only ones who can get away with not having it are the Green Bay Packers. It's like their signature now.

Second, the font is off. I would expect it eo either be the font that they have on the basketball uniforms or something closer to what's on the endzones. I'd also expect the UM logo to be at the center of the collar. There's none of that.

And there's no black. I really hope that they take a step away from the black nonsense since it has no place in the symbolism behind Montana's school colors, but I'd be shocked if they actually did that. The only black is in the outline of the numbers and on the BSC patch.

I dont think an incoming freshman posting jersey pics on Instragram celebrating his arrival as a college football player would be the best way to "get speculation" going. I personally believe what we've seen in those pictures are the real deal and the replica jerseys are what will be available to the public. Why would the officially licensed Nike store sell a jersey for $90 that looks nothing like what will be worn on the field. Replicas in the past have not be exact, but the general concept has always been the same. I know the so called "experts" on the board have guaranteed those replicas look nothing like what the Griz will wear, but if I had to bet, I would put my money on player Instragram pictures and officially licensed replicas vs jersey concepts posted on Photobucket that we have seen for years. The same thing happened 3 years ago when they sold replicas in the store before the first game, but we never saw the actual jerseys until game day. I think people are basing they ideas on the new jerseys on what they hope to see vs. what facts we know.

None the less, cant wait to see whatever new jerseys come out on Saturday.
 
For the record ...most people who know said the replica does not Look like the ones the players have. However the one that was posted by a player is the real deal. Hence why it came down . The lettering is silver and Montana has a unique font. The helmet is a flat maroon with a white paw or script logo...not decided as of last week. Maroon pants. This will not be the planned normal home uniform. Possible looks include black and silver helmets. Black,white silver pants.

Please no white pants. We always lose in white pants.
 
No old gold or copper planned. However there is a special uniform I have not seen yet. Rumor of course is camo..like tcu recently had.
 
Now I would not expect the quality that tcu had but it would moat likely be based off the same idea. I have not heard of any camo helmet however it is possible..personally I would doubt it from what I have seen. Ps the image that surfaced from a recruit last year had quite a few concepts of current items that the university has/ might use.

The maroon pants will also be used on the road. Majority of home games will still be maroon top silver pants. Not sure if there is a new black pant or if the old ones will still be used.

We've heard a lot about the Old Griz colors - Maroon and Silver. Appropriate for the Silvertips.

Oh God, I hope not. There's really nothing worse than the camo duds that keep rolling out.

But a dressed up version of the old Texas orange & gold would be a pretty slick alternate. Maybe use actual gold instead of the old 1970sish yellow.

Real Copper, Silver and Gold would be fine, in spite of little contrast. Texas burnt orange and babysh*t yellow, not so much.
