New Uniforms for 2013?

In a football sense, we may not be the Oregon of FCS anymore, but at least we might still look it. :thumb:

He said as much to me, the attention we get from nike as an FCS team is unparalleled to other FCS teams.

You know what's funny. UM will be getting all these new uniform options etc which is cool. Griz have an amazing fan base and stadium. Better than a good may in FBS and better than most all in FCS. However there is no drive to UM. It's sort of like building up a truck. Lift, new wheels and Toyo AT tires, bumper with winch, sweet paint job. But powering that truck an old warn out straight six. Make it look big and bad so everyone says hey that's a sweet rid, them it starts!!
App State has the balls to make a move. They pulled that six banger out and went with a 350. May not be a power stroke or dura max but its better than what's powering UM at the moment.
Blast away if you want. Tell me to find a new team. I live in a state with two PAC12 teams and in a town with one in the Beavs. Sure I follow them but they do not have my passion. I am a Griz fan all the way. I just want better things for our Griz. The BSC has been good but unless they haven't e to offer the Gri deserve better.

I respect the idea of always looking ahead for improvement, but you do know where we finished in the BSC last year, right?

I dont know if you are aware of the conference App st. and Georgia southern are moving to but it is the sun belt conference and I'm willing to bet you can't name most teams in the sun belt. I know they will get no more attention there than they are now in the fcs. If the griz were to move up it would almost be the same thing and more than likely a losing record so the griz IN MY OPINION are doing just fine where they are.

While I could easily name all of the teams in the Sun Belt, I'm not certain in either even that this is a real strong argument for not moving up. Hell, I doubt more than 5% of FBS fans could name three FCS conferences.

I am leaning toward believing we will have a look similar to U of A. Three complete sets w/ interchangible pieces & the "Military Appreciation" look each with a definite "Griz" look & feel. How about all Black; All White & All Maroon w/ silver; matte maroon & black heltmetS.

I like how Plfu was tweeking the facemasks & logo to match the uni's its a more affordable way to create options.

The only thing App had that I liked was Yosef on one helmet. Otherwise, they're super bland.

I believe New Papa is going to be right. I see a three different set lineup where each helmet, top and pants can be interchanged to make 27 different options for uniforms.

Talked with someone last weekend that is a UM grad and works at Nike. I TRIED to get even some teaser info from him on the new uniforms but he kept a lid on it. Just said that the new ones look really good in his opinion and the new options for the helmets are sweet.

How is Eric these days? He just got a big promotion.
