New Transfer WR Lamarriel Taylor

At the Billings GSA function last Thursday coach Stitt said that they hoped to sign a receiver over the weekend but said he could not release the name until the ink was on paper. So that receiver was obviously Lamarriel. Also said that they were working on one more transfer who is a cornerback. If he gives any updates at the Butte GSA golf tournament please update.

FYI, two other items of note. Coach said we will be fine at kicker. Also said that in January when the spring semester started they pulled all the O lineman's food stipend for eating off campus and said you are eating a pre-determined menu on campus Said every lineman has put on significant weight and that they are all over 300 pounds.

Great news on the CB and OL fronts. Those are the biggest question marks heading into the season and the staff appears to be answering them. Can't wait to see what's in store for the 2016 Griz. I have a feeling that they will surprise non-Griz Nation folks as well as the Griz Nation negative nellies (you know who you are, wet blankets).

Lamarriel Taylor received a academic scholarship to anywhere in the country. He also tested in the top 3% on his SAT! Bright future! Welcome to Griz Nation!

NEVER a bad thing to add this type of high character kid to the team. Looks like he can ball to. Welcome LT!

+1. He seems like a great addition in every respect.

How come the article on GoGriz says those are two year totals?

He looks like, on the field, the spitting-image of Jamaal Jones :!:

Any faster, he would be in the PAC-12.

Jones isn't 6'4", is he?

Taken from team rosters:

Jones: 6-1, 192
Taylor: 6-2, 195

Plus they run similar and both have great ball skills.

I am trying to find a negative to this kid. Maybe that he does not have game day experience at D1, but who cares. His overcoming a culture of underperformance in life is special in and of itself. 4.0 with a chip on his shoulder that he will make something great out of his life. Damn. What a great get and I am pulling for him.

Has offers from Syracuse, Indiana and Duke; goes to Masachusetts. Scores Top 3 % nationally in the SAT.

Has a full Medical Scholarship from the U. S. Congress to attend any school of his choice throughout the whole nation, and he picks the University of Montana?
The guys crazy, dude.

Why did I think this kid was 6'4"? Or is that the OTHER WR that just verballed?
