I am trying to find a negative to this kid. Maybe that he does not have game day experience at D1, but who cares. His overcoming a culture of underperformance in life is special in and of itself. 4.0 with a chip on his shoulder that he will make something great out of his life. Damn. What a great get and I am pulling for him.

Has offers from Syracuse, Indiana and Duke; goes to Masachusetts. Scores Top 3 % nationally in the SAT.

Has a full Medical Scholarship from the U. S. Congress to attend any school of his choice throughout the whole nation, and he picks the University of Montana?

I believe the "Full Medical Scholarship" is post-graduate meaning he has to get his undergraduate degree first. U of M is a great pre med school and has a great science program so I think that, in addition to his desire to play for a winning team with a winning attitude is likely what brought him here.
