New TE coach

QB coach, Jared Zabransky. Do you remember him?
Why are you saying this? Pretty sure Mick said that Hynson is going to be working with the QB's. Or are you just throwing around former College QB's from the western united states that you think could coach QB's for the Griz?

For those of you who really don't know who that is, Zabransky was Boise State's QB when they beat Oklahoma

Good move from a recruiting standpoint for you guys.
Yeah I think all that competitive recruting in the Patriot League will really transfer over. Seriously though, why do you think this is a good move from a recruiting standpoint? I'm not picking a fight, I like the hire, just curious why you think that..

Interesting hire, he must have been really proactive about wanting to coach at UM, coming from New York and all.

Good question WaGriz4life. Were you serious cd7? I am not a minority, but I would hope that additional diversity on the staff actually would help with recruiting out of state kids. Many states the Griz recruit in (especially WA, OR, CA, etc) have a broad mix of races and ethnicity. For a minority student coming to Montana - it could be a little unsettling that the majority of the population is white. I will give MD some credit. Old white boy from Butte is smarter than I thought. I believe the staff he is building will do a fine job.

Looks like Grandpa Delaney is bargain shopping again. I wonder if he asked for a senior citizen's discount.
Damn, 2013 is gonna suck worse than '12. Thanks a lot Bin Laden. And Royce Engstrom.

For you people that don't get where catdaddy is coming from, it is a good move from a recruiting standpoint in that it could strengthen our ties with Oregon and California as well as open up some other recruiting areas that could produce a hidden gem now and then.

IMO if you gain a guy that opens doors that have never been opened before; that's a good thing.
He sounds like a high energy and positive coach which is also a good thing right now for the Griz.
I agree that having an ethnically diverse coaching staff has to be comforting to recruits especially
when coming from a totally different environment to pretty much white Montana. Look what our
recruiting in Texas has done for us. Good players with little or no drama. Let's face it, Both sides
have brought in players that that had no business going to school with our naive kids. The key is
to recruit the "right" kids that will toe the line, perform and become students the fans and the
alumni can be proud of. If he can help do that.....

Wow! Less is more guys, less is more. Amazing how you great think tankers expect to be on top in the nation and then start joking about someone's race. Out of the 2 threads I have read today 1 locked because people continue to try and hijack threads. The second this thread. So cool that a bunch of dumbass people ona computer talking about race rather then a coaches skills. To me, there shouldn't be any kind of joke about it.
Long gone are the days when egriz was a serious and fun message board.

Whadya know, another connection to our (hopefully) future head coach, Jonathan Smith. Seems like all the new staffers have this connection in common. Hopefully that is the plan and not just a coincidence. BTW, did Kade play college ball? If so where? I must have missed that?
