Maybe/Probably this has already been broken down thoroughly on this site. I wanted to further know the possible breakdown in possible play-calling in the Stitt offense. Do you think he will use the exact system as CSoM or will there be a new wrinkle as he enters a new caliber of football? I guess I want to know if NDSU can use old CSOM game film to game plan? I know there are a lot of egrizzers very knowledgeable in this topic, thanks-in-advance!

Run % vs Pass %?? 25%vs 75%???

Pass % Breakdown:
5-7 yd%??
10-15 yd %??
20+yd %??
Screen %??

Run % Breakdown
Draw %???
Off tackle%???
Sweep%??
Lead%??

Thank!

At this stage, I really doubt anyone can accurately address this topic. Stitt has said strategy, playcalling, etc will vary from matchup to matchup. When we find something that works, the GRIZ will stick with it. He has no problem throwing the ball 50 times, or running the ball 50 times. He will do whatever works best to give the GRIZ the best chances to win.

As for the NDSU game, I'd really love to see the GRIZ challenge their defense with a lot of quick passes, spreading the ball all over the field. I want to see the GRIZ force NDSU to account for defending the whole field, then loosen up the defense to run the ball. I feel establishing the pass 1st will better set the tone for the GRIZ. Our best returning offensive players are Henderson (assuming he is cleared academically) and Jones. I feel they will be the only mismatches the GRIZ will have against NDSU's defense. Also, quick passing will lessen the pressure the defense can put on our questionable OL. I am not sure the OL would be ready to set the tone with the running game. I feel emphasizing the run early would be playing into NDSU's strengths.

Defensively, I want to see our DB's get physical and play their WR's tight. I want to see Gregorak challenge our DB's to be a strong unit this season. Being successful against a highly rated NFL QB prospect would really set the tone for rest of the season. I have faith our Defense can challenge their offense. If Ty goes conservative early in the game, I will be disappointed.

Stitt says he wants to bring back swagger to the GRIZ. If he wants to make that statement loud and early on the field, I feel what a better way to do so by being aggressive on both sides of the ball against the defending National Champions live on ESPN??????

Win or lose, make the statement "The GRIZ will not fear or back down from any team!!!"

Why wouldn't Henderson be academically eligible? That's the first I've seen that....

Just a technicality that will need a NCAA waiver. http://missoulian.com/sports/college/montana/football/griz-wr-ellis-henderson-regains-lost-year-of-eligibility/article_5f55be19-6530-51db-a722-5941ea92780a.html
