New Signing -- Jose Balver-Mendoza, Kennesaw State

The “IT” factor has to do with culture and leadership. If you are paying close attention you will recognize that there is a reason there are many out of state transfers coming in and the majority of in state HS kids deciding to go elsewhere. We are a long ways away from the days of old.
To me you are dead wrong. The "IT" factor is one of the key elements of college FB. Look back at DD or MM or TJ or LH or CR or Junior Bergen to mention a few. They contributed to Griz lore and exciting games to remember. A coach doesn't have the "IT" factor until one summarizes his career after he retires. It is not culture. A player has the "IT" factor when the fans and his teammates see greatness on the field. It is a repetitive occurrence over a FB season or multiple FB seasons. Some may call it leadership. A fan recognizes when a player is special. The "IT" factor is never old.

I definitely felt it in '09. Was at that Natty. Gut wrenching...

Weren’t all of the title game losses gut wrenching for one reason or another? Moss, Adrian Peterson, Chatty turf, spider turnovers, Szczur, and a loaded fluffle of jackrabbits. But ‘09 did have a different feel to it all year, and then was one of the most wild string of playoff games I can recall. A crazy comeback, a dominant blowout, an all time classic.

You're right. The losses were all bad and disappointing.
