New Schedule??? Cat Griz at WGS

Is 7-4 an unrealistic prediction with that schedule?

I think the cats have a realistic goal of being 7-4 but that could be 6-5.

It'll all come down to culture for them. 6-5 with the correct culture is better than 9-2 with a different culture. Ol' Numero Seis could go 4-7 every year and have a job forever if he can get the culture right.

Preaching to the choir on this one.

I loved Choate. He was a great guy and a hell of a coach. But some are acting like he was the first coach in the history of sports that wanted his team to play hard all the time, win the trenches, be a good student, be a good citizen, and buy into the system. Every coach in the country wants these things! Some are better than others at getting the results.

For me, I’m hoping Vigen is one of those coaches. But it won’t be because he has some culture attribute that no other coach has.

This suckz. Don’t like them messing with the sanctity of The Brawl and the odd/even years. My memories of these games are getting hard enough to track. And I was really looking forward to going back to Bozhole and personally returning the favor.

Seems like they seized an opportunity to correct the schedule with SUUc leaving in a couple years. Like every other Covid (over) correction. It’s become the best excuse in over 100 years to do things previously unimaginable. School? Work? Eh. I know something much more serious—the embargo on chocolate milk and Bisquick!
Not able to get new snow tires? Blame Covid.
Dog farts burn your nose like acid? Blame Covid.
Why do I make my pancakes with chocolate milk and chocolate chips? Because I like to party.

The series was last interrupted by World War II. Now a fucking virus details everything? Shows you how far this country has gone down from the post-WWII supremacy it once attained. Disgusting. Baby Boomers, my generation, started this decline. This entire country has gone to hell. The Griz -Cat thing is just a mild symptom.

For those who can't cope with the change from even-odd years....write it down, JFC!!! Get a life, snowflakes.

Yeah. I’m fairly certain that Vigen isn’t some surly fella hell bent on destroying MSU football. Pretty sure he will have the same goals. I was just poking fun because (confession) I’ve read BN during some of this process, and some people seem legitimately worried about culture above all else. Like, the dude isn’t going to try to come in there and lose. If he wins, I think Bobcat fans will be fine with his “culture”.

We’ve lost more American lives in Covid’s 12 months than in the whole of World War II.

Did you add in the American lives lost during the whole of WWII that weren’t war-related and factor in overall deaths per-capita between the two time periods? If so, that is a stunning statistic.

This is a reporting figure. People dying from what the would have before the plague. Money to be made because of the plague REPORTING. Got a laugh out of the reported case of a Covid death, ignoring the three bullet holes in his chest. Bullshit to say the least. Wakethefuckup.

CDA, you don't have a world war without deaths being related. This hasn't been publicly related as part of a war, yet.

Fair enough. I didn’t live through a world war, so I have nothing but deference toward those who did. I was just wondering if we were comparing apples to oranges, or apples to 1987 Buick Skylarks.

Well instead of picking the fly shit out of the pepper re: death statistics, I think the pandemic has had as much if not more effect on our collective daily life. And so I don’t think it’s that extraordinary that it interrupted the Cat-Griz series.

I agree 100%. Just busting balls, my friend.

 My God, you are good. :thumb:
I hate Buicks.

That really makes a ton of sense.....which is why I figured our conference would screw it up. It’s only right to host the Brawl after missing it last season.

Same. I was CERTAIN they’d do the wrong thing when the answer was so obvious.

One thing I admit I never took in consideration is the financial aspects of hosting this game. Both UM and MSU build their entire non-conference schedule around whether or not their hosting this game. From that standpoint it makes total sense.

Worst part is this is going to [#]f### my recollection of what games were what year going forward. I wasn't very good at it before....

Exactly the financials are the biggest part. And I believe I read that if the schedule didn’t get worked out this way then UM would have a four year stretch of not hosting the game (2018 last time they hosted). That would be bad.

Yep. Not going to lie I never considered that. In the end it's a huge deal. Now I just hope they let you guys pack the place. I booked rooms last night and keeping my fingers crossed!

You literally do this every year. You said we'd go 6-6 in 2019.

Your predictions have zero substance, and haven't for years. When we have a bad year, you claim to be a genius, but you've been predicting mediocre Griz records every season for 15+ years on this website.

And yet he still catches fish with that cheap bait........

Exactly, hence my first reply.

I notice you didn’t say we lost those lives to covid. Very observant of you.
