The UO gals certainly keep their isht tight. But you'd have to have pretty crappy taste in women if you think they are somehow better looking than the SC babes. All of the Song Girls are skr8 FDRs (dimes/10s/Bo's).

Most of the UO cheeries are smoking hot, but a couple of them look like they were partying at the R Bar this morning.

Anywho, Robin is a great hire and I hope he can teach his boys to run Pheny's shitty system better than the last few guys. Maybe we will see some more passes to the TE. Maybe we will see a full blown switch to the spread. Do the ducks still run the spread?

Who do we have at WR and TE besides Sambrano and MM? Is Phaler(sp?) back?

WR starters back
Mariani
Palmer

TE Starters back
Pfahler
Beaudin

WR's returning with experience
Kazmierczak
Riggs
Sambrano

TE with experience
Overton

Newcomer WR's with great potential that could make an impact
Gratton
Cady
Buckles

Possible transfer
Pflugrad (this could be exciting for Griz Nation as everything I've read makes Aaron sound similar to Joe Douglass. Fast (10.8 100 meter), elusive, great route runner, great yards after catch.

At one point, if you worked at the University, your children had their tuition waived. Is that still the case? Maybe a scholly isn't needed immediately.

From my understanding, a parent has to be employed there a certain length of time. As of 2 years ago, they waived tuition if a parent worked there. I am not sure if that is still the case.

However, it would not surprise me if the NCAA has some strict rules for this regarding athletes. If not, I am sure there would be alot of parents employed 2 to 5 years by the University. ;)

There was a piece on ESPN's Outside the Lines a couple of weeks ago about "package deals". I know they talked about a couple of basketball schools hiring dads as "director of basketball development", assistant coaches, etc. In both cases, they said that since the parent worked at the University, no scholarship was needed, as the player received a tuition waiver. It said the NCAA was looking into it, but according to that piece, it was still allowed.

It is official coach Plufgard will be a unpaid assitant.

If the coach is an "unpaid assistant," is he, or is he not considered an employee of the university? If he's not an employee, then the tuition waiver "package deal" notion for son Aaron is out.

Aaron might still want to transfer, but that would mean giving up his scholarship at UO. That almost surely means he'd come as a walk-on because I doubt that UM has any schollies left at this point.

Makes you wonder even more about why Dad is coming here. (Could he think Hauk is going to move on relatively soon, and this would give him the inside track to replace him?)

I recall a similar thing about Axman, it was very surprising he'd come to Montana, but a year later he had a better job offer in the FBS ranks. Could be the same move here, either an opportunity to move up with the staff, if they leave, or an opportunity for a job with a different team next year.

BIO:

Throughout his career, he has played a role in the development of seven quarterbacks or receivers who have claimed All-America acclaim, 28 all-conference honorees, 152 academic all-conference student-athletes and 12 academic All-Americans. He coached with two schools (Arizona State in 1996; Washington State in 2002) that represented the Pac-10 in the Rose Bowl.

He began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Portland State in 1980 before spending one year as a receivers and secondary coach at South Eugene High School in 1981. Pflugrad returned to Portland State for a four year-stint in 1982, first as a part-time assistant coach and director of football promotions and later as a full-time assistant working with wide receivers and tight ends.

From there he migrated to the University of Montana (1986-94) to work with the quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers, and was promoted to assistant head coach in 1991. Among his standouts was Dave Dickenson, who won the Walter Payton Award (given to the most outstanding player in NCAA Division I-AA), broke 25 school records and three national marks, and came close to helping the Grizzlies beat the Ducks in Eugene in 1993. (Oregon won, 35-30.)
He helped lay much of the foundation for the 1994 Montana team which claimed the NCAA I-AA national championship.

Pflugrad moved to Arizona State (1995-2000) as recruiting coordinator and receivers coach. He spent the spring of 2001 as offensive coordinator and assistant head coach at Northern Arizona before receiving his opportunity at Washington State prior to the 2001 season.
The 1980 Portland State graduate in business administration earned academic All-America honors as a wide receiver and team captain as a senior in 1979.

UM is the winner in the assistant coaching department. We are substantially upgraded. Cudos to the staff for pulling this off. As with Delaney last year, Pflugrad and Germer will be difference makers. In my mind if there were ever any questions about BH's ability to surround himself with quality assistants, they shoud be answered by now. It does now, however, look like a staff with the credentials for "moving up."

USC wins the cheerleading contest.

Great addition!!

I choose Oregon's cheerleaders. Good news and bad news about the cheerleaders from the University of Spoiled Children. Good News - They come with Daddy's bankroll. Bad News - They come with Daddy's strings attached.

I lived in Oregon for about 10 years once.

Contrary to popular belief, there ARE good looking women in Oregon. AND, I have seen all 12 of them.
