Timm Rosenbach, the guy that said Kellen Moore was not a PAC-10 caliber QB and the reason Mike Reilly left WSU for CWU.
Shhhhhhh. You can have Kellen Moore and Reilly.

I'll take Jason Gesser and Alex Brink any day of the week. :coffee:
Great call....I couldnt agree more......on Moore.

Kellen Moore is NOT nor has he been a Pac12 quality QB & as for Reiley (uhhhh nevermind) I like the hire too. He has BCS/NFL experience and comes from coaching family with ties to Big Sky counrty. He's more then familiar with 3&4 wide set along with a more traditional red zone look that features TE's & two RBs when it makes sense...I like alot!

So, about 18 minutes between the first post on egriz with the new OC's name and the above-quoted buzzkill. Must be a new egriz record.

Not really. Just part of his cutsee little schtick. Disregard

Just like your cutsee little schtick. :coffee:

If he succeeds he'll be a great hire; if he doesn't he's a failure. Been on the job for one hour and fifteen minutes, and hasn't even coached yet! Give him a game at least! Great hire! :thumb:

Kellen Moore was a great college QB for Boise, he fit that system very well....I will leave it at that. I think this is a good hire for the Griz, maybe a good fit for both parties at this particular time.

Interesting to look back at this from 2 years ago:

How about that, I was actually adding substance to the forum and not being a negative Ned that needs to leave the board. I knew I had it in me

+1 Moore was great for BSU.

Timm is a very good hire. Good offensive knowledge, and a great plus for recruiting the northwest. Great pick, Plfu!

I believe he had the state HS record for javelin for several years but the record has long been broken.

Hard to replace Jonathan Smith. young, up-n-coming, very smart, and i think he connected well with JJ. We'll never hang on to a coach like that for very long; but at least we keep broadening the network of coaching connections for future hires. aint it weird how deep UM's coaching connections can reach (e.g., Rosie's dad coached here)? there's always some connection due to our turnover rate.

With Rosie's wazzu connections, seems like Pflu was kinda foretelling this hire when he compared Brady Gustafson to Drew Bledsoe:
“He has great velocity in his arm, great strength, can throw under pressure and actually reminds me delivery-wise of a Drew Bledsoe-type of quarterback." http://grizblitz.com/?p=688

I'm guessing Brady will connect well with Rosie, given their similar schematic background and skillsets (like how JJ and JS seemed to match). But will JJ? I think the world of JJ, so i'm very hopeful, but i don't think he should be in a pro-style/pocket system.

and I don't think we'll be running one. When Gus is the QB, then the offense will look like Wazzus

What is his experience with the spread? Does he have a major learning curve, or can he hit the field running? I know that this offense is Pflu's baby, so if there is a learning curve, there is also a pretty good safety net.

Im pretty sure that Pflu hired Rosenbach the second that he replied hes never heard of the spread offense and he would refuse to learn it.

Never question Pflu he knows what hes doing.

Told you so! All the doubters and down casters along with most cat-peeing posters on egriz can lick, yap, pass gas and whine but good old Pflu has done it again!

We had the hint he may be the guy (Rosenbach) early on. Great hire!

This. Pflu has been silently assembling a missle

Looks like a solid hire. In my mind, a big step up from smith.

It's obvious your mind does not have a grip on football, however if Rosenback can accomplish what Smith did for the Griz last year, looks like the Griz just might have a chance at another NC. :thumb:

And pummel the Cats again, and again, and again.

To quote another poster, a trained monkey could pummel the Cats.

Both of you are correct. And 1 of you know what I thought of Pflu. The crow was good. Let's roll.

I dig Pflu, so I wasn't questioning his choice. I am just honestly asking what his experience is with the spread, from his past gigs.

Depends on what you mean by "The Spread". His offenses use spread formations with 4 and 5 wide receiver sets, but they operated a lot under center and threw the ball 40 times a game. Saying he is "pro-style" probably gives fans the impression of predictable running plays being the priority and work everything off of play action, his offenses are nothing like that. He is going to want to throw the ball all over the place with JJ and I am just fine with that :thumb:
