ESPN has been great, in my book. I always had a soft spot for the coverage on Root, but having easy ESPN+ access while I had to travel this year was really great.
"The agreement calls for the NCAA and ESPN to work together to maximize exposure opportunities on ABC and ESPN throughout the term. The national championship game in Division I women's basketball, women's volleyball, women's gymnastics, and the Football Championship Subdivision are guaranteed to air on ABC each year, with additional ABC exposure guaranteed within the overall softball and baseball championships as well. The agreement also includes a guarantee that at least 10 of the championships will have selections shows distributed on linear ESPN networks."
Sam Herder confirmed on Twitter now that the new deal is signed, the FCS will seed the top 16 starting next year and begin to move away from regionalization

Don't count ESPN+ to equate with "ESPN". I was hoping to see the Husky/Texas playoff game last week...guess what no ESPN+, only regular ESPN. I saw hit/miss with ESPN+ for Griz games, for example the broadcast for the Championship game is advertised for ESPN3.

Well of course. ESPN would would be out of business in a week if they allowed their primary broadcasts to be on espn+. They make money by selling their channel to cable and satellite companies. I’m always amazed people who cut cable are pissed they cannot watch programs broadcast on, you know, cable.

I'm not sure what source you are looking at, but the broadcast for the FCS Championship is on ABC (ESPN's sister channel).
I guess we just had different experiences with ESPN+ for Griz games. I was at the stadium for nearly all the home games, but I had no problem picking up the away games or watching replays.

Per a trust fund model lots of questions: If under School auspices won't they have to abide by Title IX? Or a lot of varsity turned club teams? Be a lot more than the 6 mill mentioned across a whole athletic department's athletes. Will schools go back to the well with student fees. The big names won't be happy with 30 grand or will there still be NIL money. How many programs will be able to sail those waters financially or public opinion wise? 20, 40, 60? If they take the Big Dogs out of March Madness how much is the CBS billion dollar deal worth? Is the NCAA a dead man walking? (in it's present form I'd guess yes).
I have thought for a decade the Dogs were going to self segregate, just didn't have an idea how. On the bright side maybe the Griz can end up playing their peers that don't opt for Triple AAA level football.
