He is good to transfer and is a pretty good spread QB.

Hey more transfer rumors are needed here they quieted down a bit :)

I have no idea why the Griz bother spending your time recruiting some the top high school QB's in Washington and Hawaii only "recruit" every FBS drop down quarterback in the nation. At least your consistent in your approach.

Who says we're recruiting them?

NEWS FLASH..................just because crap is talked about here doesn't mean there is any truth or merit behind it.

You sure he's leaving? Seems strange that he'd do so considering that he played as a true freshman last year (2010); granted, four players played the position of QB for New Mexico last year, if correctly reported, but Godfrey started the last four and he'd be transferring from a team that allowed him to start after his redshirt was pulled, playing in seven games total. If he is transferring I'd think he'd consider going back to Texas for a consideration. Being that he's from Gilmore, Texas, that is. Just a guess, though.

This is the savior drop-down QB that Growler1 has been predicting will lead the Griz to an undefeated record and their 3rd national title!!!! All hail Stumpy!

As a NM Lobo fan that’s seen many games over the years, I'm telling you the NM Lobo football culture could not be any lower right now. This guy came into a program that was in the bottom of sh!tter, played for a horrible coach, and continued the losing ways. The thing about your program over the years (before Puu) is that you guys always had an intangible winning mentality and you always knew were going to win to matter what the circumstance. Recruiting this quarterback, who knows nothing but how to lose, will do nothing to help you return to your previous level.

On a more personal note, I'm pretty sure I'm the lucky charm. I moved to Albuquerque in 2002, and after making one bowl game since 1961, they go to bowls in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, and 2007. Around then I moved back to MT and they've barley won another game. All of a sudden the Cats land our best QB in a generation and put together the best season since 1984. Coincidence? This does not bode well for you guys.

I hope you guys announce just to the inner circle this Sunday that you've landed Godfrey. :thumb:
