How many more cracks at a national championship does a coach need to prove he can't get it done?

I wouldn't mind seeing a few more.

As someone who actually attended those flops, I have to say the result wouldn't be different.

As someone who didn't, I have to say I would love to. I note that I have not had such an opportunity of late.

Say what you want about Bobby, but it seemed like every year you knew he was going to make a deep playoff drive with his teams. And if given another opportunity at UM, I bet he would bring us back some national championship trophies to Missoula.

Never coming back to UM... he's in it for the money and has tasted too much. Missoula can't pay him enough to EVER come back. He's simply down and dirty!

I expected the Griz to win and go deep in the playoffs with Coach Hauck. Now I just hope we are in a position to possibly win. I vote to bring back Coach Hauck (not likely to ever happen) and trade AG to NDSU for a two day ice fishing trip in MN.

Think about this for a second... Just how close we were to making 4-straight National Championship appearances under Bobby... 2 points away in the semifinal loss in 2006, then we had the tools and talent to get there again in 2007 but got tripped up by Wofford, and then we made it in 2008 and 2009. Add to the fact we made a trip to the NC in 2004 as well.. That would have been 5 NC appearances in his 7 years here! :shock:

In a perfect world, we would bring Bobby back home, and everyone in the Big Sky would hate it.

The only way Hauck would ever come back willingly is if something happened that made it his best option.

The problem is that whatever happened to him would make him too toxic for this administration (he may already be too toxic anyways).

He could find a better coordinator position at a bigger school, or maybe even in the NFL.

I am almost certain, Delaney will be the head coach in 2015.

Just curious (not trying to start an argument over what we'll end up, etc etc..) but do you think he'll be given an extension even if we finish something like 7-5 or 6-6 with no playoffs?

Nope! Missing the playoffs two out of three years is unacceptable. :!:

That's how I felt when I left vegas too.

I won't vote for either. I would prefer a national search.
