Not to speculate too much but perhaps a move to add some QB depth just in case Chalich and Simis transfer out. It's pretty obvious that Brady is the starter and has a year left next year to do it again. This may create a transfer or two from our current QBs.

Don't think Chalich could transfer out without losing his last year of eligibility could he?

I don't believe Chalich will go anywhere...he will still be the #2....Simis though....

1. you hung up your gear at least 11 years ago and have no greater status or insights than the rest of us.

After graduating from Ashland he took a 2-year mission to Indiana and Kentucky. While he was on his mission he received a preferred walk-on spot to Oregon among other offers, but said he didn't think he was prepared for D-1 so he went to a JC to knock some of the rust off.
He went to Feather River, played pretty well all things considered, and will enroll in classes in January -- he can sign his papers Dec. 15 -- and will be here for spring ball.

I saying getting a preferred walk on at Oregon means the kid has something that coaches see....
