so an un-named 8th grader in an un-named family from an un-named town is going to a football camp in some un-named place? and his parents are going to base their lives around the un-named 8th grader's football playing ability?

that's f***[*] up.

Exactly, I scratch my head a lot at not only what I read on here but some of the agenda's people try to push on here is amazing. Mtgrizrule, what in the hell are you thinking? In what way did you think it's a good idea to boast about an unnamed kid, who isn't even in high school? I kind of got a feeling that this is either a relative or maybe a child of yours, but what is the purspose of your post? If it isn't a close relative, that is even more discouraging.

The point being is that there are millions of kids who get invited to camps like this, it's the ones that can pay who end up going. This kid may have potential, but say someone figures out the name of this kid you postered on here, do you think it will benefit him if he doesn't go or fails? Seems to me you are more worried about being the first to report this story, just to say you were the first.

What has this world come to? Sorry for being happy for a local kid. I guess that is a sin on egriz.

If you were happy for the kid you would tell him and his family, not egriz. We don't even know his name so how could we share in the congratulations with you? See what i mean you just wanted to be the first to report?

Seriously, mods shut down this thread. My bad, for posting for something I thought was good news. No need to drag this on. It will be the last time I post something about a young player, with or without name. Then again, a few here did not like me posting about Ben Roberts going into his FR year, either.

I was the 1st to congratulate the family.

i wish the boy the best of luck. if i remember correctly a few years ago only two montana men were in the nfl one was casey f from chester and played for carroll the other one was the tight end from scobey who played for the griz, his name escapes me. my point being if you are good enough they will find you. if you play hard and have success people will notice. i have no idea what the deal is here i just hope the parent are not trying to relive their lives thru the kid.on the other hand maybe this could be a great experience for the boy.

I don't think the family is, I think MTGrizrule is. Sneaking suspicion he might be family. Spencer Frederick is who you are speaking of from Scobey. He is a pretty good friend of a girl I work with, even though I'm a Cat fan Spencer is a great guy.

I will leave it at, being proud of a family, and kid that has worked hard to be in position to have their kids get scholarships to good schools, and this is their oldest child, and I know how hard everyone has worked, and will continue to work. Only time will tell, where some good news will lead.

I honestly did not expect something that was meant to be good, turn into a firestorm. For that I am sorry. Carry on EGRIZ!

This thread was positively comic GENIUS. No one could have predicted the strange reactions you got. Don't be sorry!
