Wow Grizbacker...you are a sensitive one.
Let's look at the original statement from wolfin1-
"Nevada is big with three players at or about 7' but we also have the depth to play small and quick but is not as athletic as UCLA. Our shooting runs hot and cold but the bread-and-butter is defense and rebounding."
Okay...so what part of that statement showed arrogance or overconfidence? Wolfin1 stated a fact about our team.
Nevada DOES have three players at or about 7'. They do have the depth to play small and quick (see Shiloh, Sessions, and Burleson).
Not sure why you're bent out of shape over that comment. Nobody said anything about overlooking an opponent. If we were overlooking anyone, why would we even be on this board?
Trust me....Nevada knows about the upset in the NCAA tourney.
2004: Nevada beats #25 Michigan State
2004: Nevada beats #2 Gonzaga
2005: Nevada beats Texas (not sure of their ranking)
The Wolf Pack will not overlook the Grizzlies. This isn't arrogance and I think you're a little paranoid. Nobody said anything in this thread about overlooking the Griz or moving onto BC.

Your analysis is very good and I know the Griz have their hands full. I think your recent success in the NCAA lends itself to a little overconfidence. I guess it depends on which side of the fence you sit on. Do you not agree that some teams took Nevada lightly prior to your wining a couple of late? Face it, Nevada's record in the NCAA was similar to ours before the breakthrough. I wouldn't blame Nevada if they did overlook the Griz, it is a natural thing. There are teams on your schedule every year that you look at and think to yourself, "that is a win". The Griz have them, so do the Wolfpack.
I am looking forward to the game. If I didn't believe we had a chance in hell I wouldn't make the trip. Good luck to your team. I hope we have a great game, no one gets hurt, and the Griz pull off the upset.
Thanks Griz. Good post, although I must disagree on a point. Wolfin is a pretty good guy...with a pretty good sense of humor too. You have to admit the post above was kind of funny. I can't say that I've ever seen him on an opponents board being a jerk or shooting his mouth, so I'm a little confused.
And I'm still not clear as to what he said that makes you think he's a jerk. The only thing he said in this thread is that Nevada has three players at or near 7 feet tall but they can also go with a quick small guard line-up.

Nevada DOES have two seven footers on their team (Bell and Ellis) as well as two guys who are 6'10" or better (Fazekas and Johnson). Nevada also has three smaller but very athletic guards (Shiloh, Sessions, Burleson). He was stating the truth.
