NDSU would blow out any team in the fcs if they played today. Later in the season, maybe not but, rn, they destroy anyone.

Good comparison game coming up for them.
They will play South Dakota.
how do they do against them?
Will they best the 24-7 score the Griz did or will it be closer, OR (PLEASE) they lose to USD?

NDSU won't drop from #1, but I wouldn't be shocked if they lost a couple first place votes.
That's how I see it. Pollsters will see the loss as a plus, actually. Still, a few will use it to put the #1 elsewhere. (Working up my "Poll Guesses" list right now.)

NDSU is absolutely winning this game.

Probably by 20+

This aged well...

I thought they were gonna continue running it down their throats, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't trying to jinx them. ;)

They wouldn't blow out the Griz now.

X100 not even closer to blowing the Griz out and in fact I think we would win if we played next week.

Not so fast......Arizona had all they could handle with NDSU . NDSU is built perfectly to run it right at a 3-5-3 or -3-3-5 (which ever design people want to call it).

That was an entertaining game.

No Dakota St looked solid as ever with their bulldozer offensive line. Even on those plays which seemed to go nowhere the line got a three or four yard push. Their running back was an impressive athlete. The other thing that impressed me was they were attempting to run an up tempo offense in an attempt to gas the other side's defense. It almost worked.

However, it was pretty obvious any time Arizona needed yards they picked apart the Beezzonn secondary. If we ever match up with them this year we should mimic the patterns the AZ receivers were running. They were running open the whole game long.

The same az team that got thumped by unranked Mississippi st. the week before. NDSU was expected to give az a game and likely win. Curious about your statement regarding our defense, which has been fantastic against the run and is a very versatile defense. Do you have specific thoughts in that regard? I still have NDSU number one but don't foresee anyone in FCS "blowing out" the Griz.

Good post, looked like az turned on the gas the last five minutes and just took over. NDSU gave up trying to pass at the end and got completely stuffed trying to run the ball that last series.

And NAU beat AZ last year. While AZ is better this year, and NDSU is undoubtedly good, my impression is that NDSU may not be as good as they usually are. There is no way NDSU would "blow out" the Griz now. NDSU doesn't even blow out every team in its conference.

NDSU's first 2 opponents were very weak. Drake is 0-3. Drake lost to Idaho last weekend 42-14. Drake lost to a D-II team. NDSU beat Drake 56-14. North Carolina A&T is also 0-3.

I am not saying the Griz would beat the Bison now, but I think the Griz could play with them and certainly wouldn't be blown out.

NDSU had 407 yards of offense, but only 54 in the 4th quarter. And just 2 yards on their final drive when they absolutely needed to score.

IMHO they rely way too heavily on Leupke. He’s a beast, but as he goes, so goes the Bison.

I agree 100% PR.

I’m of same opinion. So far 3-0 against iffy competition we are not tested against the likes of ndsu. Bison looked like they belong fbs again.

Our three opponents would absolutely WAX the other two NDSU opponents. And they lost to their only true “opponent”. So what do we really know at this point?
