NDSU

Are a pretty damn good team. Great game NDSU, hope ur fans had a good time I know they were treated well. When's the last time NDSU started the year 0-1? Serious ?, not smack.

NDSU was 0-1 back in 2009 I believe last time at Iowa State
0-1 back in 2008 vs Wyoming

Playcalling on ndsu's last drive was embarrassing wow I just rewatched it.

Really Bisonation? You are humiliating your team.
that he is, the Bison fans I saw in Missoula today were a top notch, classy fan base, even after the game! Great folks, hope to mix with them again.

Carson had a bad game, 2 missed td passes to wide open guys, 2 fumbles and a 3 & out with 2:25 left, that just isn't NDSU football.

NDSU only had 4 returners on defense with CJ out, when he comes back our DB's change . ALOT.

we screwed up a 4th & 10 with 30 sec's left as well.

we ended with a true freshman safety.

all of that, and we only lost with 3 sec's left.

the KING is not dead...trust me.

You are a complete fucking tool. That may not have been NDSU football, but it sure as fuck WAS Griz football....get used to it.

That is the ndsu fan experience we had in our section. Exudes sportsmanship and humility. Everyone hates you. Have you thought about trying to swim across that lake at night? Maybe stick you head in that beach to see how long you can last? Seriously quit - being a fan, the Internet, life - just quit. Everyone hates you, you are worthless and are wasting good people oxygen.

..my suit was at the cleaners......I had relatives in from out of town.....I couldn't find my keys......the lights were too bright...my feet hurt.....
.....

ndsu had about 10 min more TOP...........that is not the game plan stitt's wanted on offense or ty wanted on defense. so ndsu did what they do best.....controlled the TOP in this game. can't say that they were out of their game plan that much when this is their claim to fame.....the rest is they played a team that was a match for them on all levels, now it is history.......gotta live with that

Whether the king is dead or not is irrelevant. All excuses aside, he got beat today!

Gus was off a bit today, several overthrown balls that could have been TDS, team had two turnovers, and several 3 and outs, that just isn't Griz FB.
UM only had one OL from last year with their Center out, though when he comes back our line changes, ALOT.
We screwed up 4th down with little time in first half giving NDSU a TD to end first half
We ended up with a true frosh holding a clipboard.
All of that and we still won with seconds left on the clock.

2 teams who are breaking in new players. NDSU on D and UM on O. Both teams made young player mistakes and both teams made first game mistakes. Long season and the loss does not hurt NDSU and the win guarantees nothing for UM. NDSU can take their frustration out against Weber and the Griz have to get ready for that 3 headed monster in Cal Poly......

NDSU looks to have some real problems in the secondary this year and some questionable O play calling there. Great win by griz though

Key IMO was wentz getting banged up. He was doing damage and really took that aspect of the game out of the offense for them.

And you LOST!!!!!!!!!!

To a team you kept saying you'd beat by 30!!!!

You're right. The King is alive and well. And He lives in Missoula Montana!!!!!!!

I have had no problems with the NDSU fans most were really great to interact with. But u sir are a schmuck. Now that we won the game that u said your team would crush us in, you can go back to your shitty life, in your shitty town, in your shitter state. Nobody wants you around dirt.

I agree "The King is not dead". Though at the moment his condition isn't exactly clear.

No Dakota St & Montana both made their own mistakes and each has some obvious issues to clean up. That said, overall each team played a great game. Kudos for displaying FCS so well to the entire nation!

NDSU's offensive line is a beast and their running game (sans Crockett) is still a force of nature. Wentz getting hobbled late in the game was a huge advantage for the Griz to take that element out of it. The dude is a very smooth runner and made me nervous every time he rolled out. Although the Bison gained about 10,000 yards I felt the Montana defensive line put in an impressive effort considering the huge size difference. Our inexperience secondary also pleasantly surprised me (except for a couple of blown coverages) playing as well as they did.

I'd also like to commend those of you at the game. You were loud and proud and that came through the TV speakers. To any NDSU fans reading this, hope we can schedule another series again, and best of luck to you in the coming season! :ugeek:

Uuuhhhhhhhh....I'm a Griz fan. Just pointing out why I thought there was questionable play calling at the end. And if you look at my prediction I said 27-20 ndsu.

Your post will probably get forgotten in all of the hysteria but you're spot on. That roll-out pass attempt on second down at the 2:00 mark was brainless. Run the ball. Even if you don't get the first down, you're probably third an two. NDSU got away from what they do. Way too many passing attempts IMO. That's just not their game....

I agree 100% about the NDSU play calling. Especially that pass play you talked about. If they run the ball on that down, the clock keeps running. The clock became NDSU's opponent late in the 4th quarter, and they did a poor job of milking it.

Hope to schedule this game again as well. Fun series for sure. I thought Gus for Montana was pretty salty. Should be a good one all year for the Griz. Couple of thoughts I have to close this game.

1. Your two wide receivers are tremendous football players. Those who bashed NDSU's secondary didn't watch the same game I did. Nearly every pass play was defended well. The Griz receivers were frankly just more athletic and came down with the ball.
2. With point 1 being said, not having CJ Smith healthy for this game completely changed the outcome. The Griz targeted one DB, Jordan Champion, the entire game. Smith is an extremely talented, tall and athletic DB for NDSU and maybe the best I have seen in one on one coverage. Definately a different secondary with him in the game.
3. I like Stitt's balls. I don't think he did anything complicated and his fly sweep isn't far different than any other spread offense. His biggest strength is identifying weaknesses in defense (Champion) and utilizing the strengths of his players.
4.Carson Wentz rolling his ankle crushed the Bison offense in the second half. Not trying to take away anything from your defense, but they had no answer for him until that happened. I see the Bison scoring more than 7 in the second half of that doesn't happen.
5. Griz offensive line played extremely well.
6. Griz need to get better on kickoff coverage. It is going to bite them in the ass if they don't improve.
7. The FCS had about a dozen teams that can win it all this year. Should be an extremely exciting year.

Point 2...? Excuses again.....maybe our "extremely talented" linebabacker did not not play either. We here play as a team, win as a team and will lose as a team...if one player puts the mighty buffs at such disadvantage you are in dire shape.
