NDSU------WoW

Question for griz1952: Was that the year you were born or the year you graduated from college? Saying that Bison fans would cheer for a downed coach or player is really crass and tasteless. If you would have witnessed the game at the dome last Saturday, you would not have heard anything (utter silence) as that UNI player Jake Farley was being attended to on the field; then as he was being carted off, a very loud ovation erupted for the young man. Wasting your money and time would be sitting in the Alerus Center watching the product the undies put on the field. Wow !!!! Who tinkled on your crumpets? You're just a troll, even here on Egriz.

I love it how people on here are saying we are beatable. We won the game if you didn't notice. We gave them 2 fumbles, they only got 6 pts from them. We have depth, we wore them down in the 4th. #4 team in the country, and we beat them. Our offense might not be the best, but it's pretty much the same as we have always had, you know, like when we won the championship the last 2 years.

Woa hold up a second. Gobison and Apha. Not to be rude but are you two fking kidding me?

How am i a clueless poster? You won by 1 point, That means you are beatable, whether its bad mistakes on NDSU part or not, whether you were in control the entire game and it was garbage time scores by the opponent it doesn't matter. I agree the bison are a freight train and will most likely run the table, but any team can lose on any given day. And winning by only one point would worry me.

Although I am not a fan of the Bison I respect how they play the game, they are king until some team dethrones them. I am hoping it happens in the playoffs this season, it will take a team bringing their A game and playing the game of their lives.

Maybe Northern Iowa will get another shot in the playoffs, or a team like EWU or the Griz, if they get their crap together, could be the team to beat them. If that happens Bison fans and that one Griz guy will say the Bison beat themselves. I don't buy that if/when it happens though.

The Bison will lose, it is just a matter of when and by who, it may not be until next season after they lose a lot of talent in their senior class, but they will be beaten someday...I for one hope sooner than later. Better yet let them run out the regular season and lose anytime in the playoffs. ;)

Also, I seen part of the game and that Northern Iowa players leg snapping was Mariani like. I hope that kid recovers but his season is definitely over, hopefully not his career. Anyone have any updates on how he is doing?
Sounds like surgery went as well as possible. 8 weeks on crutches, then he can start running/rehabbing. Here is a video of his dad talking about it.

Thank you for the update bisonboone11. I appreciate that along with the video you provided.

If/when the Bison move up to FBS, I will definitely root for them again. There is a great chance they will move up some year because they have been winning championships at every division they are in and I remember they beat the Griz by one point in Bobby Hauck's first game coaching the Griz. I knew then that the Bison can play football well enough to compete for championships at FCS level but was surprised how fast they did so after moving up. They are defeating a lot of FBS teams now so who knows how far they can go at the next level. They could be the next Boise St.

A few things I am wondering about is, first, are there any plans to expand their dome? Is it possible at their current location or do they have to build a whole new dome? Is the surrounding area big enough population wise for them to increase the attendance of the dome? And when is their coach going to move up to FBS to coach and showcase his skills at leading a team like he has done so well? He could help Nebraska get back up to where they were when he was an assistant under Tom Osborne. Or maybe he is content on winning FCS titles at NDSU until they move up to FBS, if they decide to do so.

After their first title I was like cool, good for them. I root for a lot of teams in this region instead of the East coast teams, but after last season's run and this years start I am like its a good thing Brock Jensen is a senior along with many other stars on the team. However, with their coaching and defense, they could be dominating for a long time, which is why I am not a huge fan of them at this time. LOL

Anyway, I think its cool some of their fans come on here and show class while one of their fans also has a Griz flag flying at the tailgates. I am looking forward to the home and home they have with the Griz. I hope when they come to Missoula it is a night game because the atmosphere should be similar to the classic 2009 App St game, which was by far the best game I've ever been to live.

Everything I have heard out here is that it is either impossible or not cost feasible to expand the Fargo Dome, so most likely we would have to build a whole new stadium. I think their are plenty of people around here to support a bigger stadium....Fargo-Moorhead alone is around 200,000 people and there are 1300 people on a waiting list for season tickets right now. I think if we could build a stadium 25-30000, such as Washington-Griz it would be perfect right now, but I would also build it with the ability to expand if so needed. As far as Bohl leaving for the FBS....most out here believe it would take an offer from a school with a good football tradition out of the Big10 or 12. I don't think he would leave for a job, such as Minnesota or Indiana......it would take an offer from a Nebraska, Kansas St, Mich St type of programs. I don't think that the Huskers will offer him due to the history there, but a KState with Snyder bieng up there in years would be a possibility I would think. Bottom line it will take a higher profile FBS school to pull Bohl out of Fargo, although I could be wrong, but I doubt it. A lot of people think that there is a long term plan to go to FBS and Bohl wants to be the guy to bring us into it. I don't think NDSU moves anywhere until all this conference realignment takes place, with the talk of the big power conferences in the FBS breaking off on their own. Although if schools such as Montana, Montana St start jumping, I believe NDSU will follow suit.

NDSU can be beat. The offense the last two weeks hasn't done much until the 4th quarter. The passing game has not been very good as of late. Typically, NDSU has been very balanced between the pass and the run and lately the pass hasn't been working very well. The TOP and yards gained the last two games in the 4th quarter has been in pretty incredible but as a fan it is not something that you want to always rely on. I told the person next to me at the UNI game that NDSU had to play almost a perfect 4th quarter to win. Which they ended up doing I think because of their Senior leadership. NDSU plays much better with a lead than coming from behind.

A little harsh.

33-2 2 time champs 4 straight FBS wins, 5 nfl players right now. BisoNation has earned more respect than this we would hope. :geek:

I will go out on a limb here, I do not think he meant the actual team, just the posters. The team has definitely earned respect.
