NDSU vs SDSU Game Today

I’ve been seeing a lot of posts on social media (and here) of people saying that NDSU is the clear favorite and that they’re likely going to win the championship because if they can blow out SDSU like they did, nobody is going to touch the Bison.

I can understand that people feel they are the best team in the FCS, but are people forgetting that this was THE rivalry game for NDSU/SDSU? That rivalry is pretty much like Cat Griz where all bets are off the table and you can either have a close game or a blowout. Add to the fact that SDSU was without their starting QB and their best defensive player left the game in street clothes and wearing a boot, the wheels came off.

Just my opinion, I agree that NDSU is clearly the favorite but they’re still beatable. Their ranked wins now are over SDSU, an over ranked Illinois State, overranked South Dakota, and Southern Illinois.

Rivalry games are weird. NDSU was firing on all cylinders last night, but I still think that Montana, Montana State, and North Dakota State have the ability to play toe-to-toe with them.
I agree and their games against UND and UM will likely be on the road.

NDSU employed a lot of double teams on the 2 interior DTs for SDSU and then one of the NDSU OL would climb to the second level. They also do a really good job of getting 3 OL and 1 TE on 2 or 3 defenders at the point of attack. Then their running backs read the blocks as they hit the hole.

Cole Payton had 17 carries for 137 rushing. Guys like this make it really tough to stop NDSU.

Gillman had 20 carries against Sac.

Different game now because their QB is out?
I was not impressed with your QB. Even Traitorak was saying he was “off”. He was missing wide open WRs. Doesn’t seem like a winning formula when the weather changes or when they finally meet a good team, like in the playoffs.
And I would be surprised if he makes it to or through cat/Griz unharmed. He thinks he’s being tough but he’s really just being stupid.
Also, your D didn’t look like the world beaters as hyped. The couple drives I saw, CP’s backup QB carved them up.
Veggie tray was having a meltdown. It was the most emotion I’ve ever seen from him.

Lamson is second in the FCS in pass completion percentage.

He was a little out of sync yesterday coming off a bye week. Otherwise he has been very good all season.

If you thought yesterday's game against SDSU was a blowout, wait until you see how one sided the UND game is.

They might not score

Kind of like you every Friday and Saturday night : ( !!!

UND is a lot better despite what Fat Buffalo Turd says and they definitely have the chance at the upset !!!

Not a chance.

North Dakota is now in second place in the MVFC, the game is in their house, they are
4-0 at home-sweet-home, so to say the Fighting Hawks don't have a chance is just plain dumb 🙄 !!!

I am not saying ND wins vs. NDSU: I am saying they have a shot at the upset. When was the last time NDSU finished the regular season undefeated ? ... Yeah, that's right, it's been a while even when they won the NC, like last year : ( !!!

Anyone see the egregious hold by NDSU on Cole Payton's 3rd and long TD run to put the hairy cows up 28-7? I thought the Griz were getting held but it pales in comparison. The hold by NDSU on SDSU's best defender was so egregious Dan Jackson came out halfway across the field to scream at the refs.

He’s okay. Did not look impressive yesterday. Average at best. He does not seem very smart and may not last playing like that. Also looked like mostly dink-n-dunk stuff to rely on YAC. I did not see one pass that would be elite.

Completion percentage is like empty calories. Wortham and our punter have a higher completion percentage. KAY has almost as many completions as your guy’s attempts.

The bigger concern might be your defense. Certainly did not look like championship level yesterday. The backup QB went through them like butter when it was needed the most. What’s the excuse for that? Shouldn’t a D look better after a bye week rest? Looked like they regressed to the Mercyfirst level

And there is no chance eight games in that Adam Jones is The Big Sky Conference Offensive MVP. The " Missoula Bobcat's" season has been a dud so far--he's not even the MSU Offensive MVP or their best RB who is Davis, not Jones : ( 😞 !!!

I think it would be a much different game now for the Cats vs SDSU. The Cats have come a llong way since then. Cats would win.

Your team sure didn't look like world beaters yesterday on either side of ball in San Luis Obispo. !!!

If UND played MSU, which might happen in the playoffs, I would definitely take UND. : ( !!!

The Griz didn’t look like world beaters either playing Cal Poly at home.

We looked better than you did yesterday as we allowed 9 points, not 17, and unlike MSU, pitched a second-half shutout. MSU didn't close out Cal Poly SLO until less than 4 minutes left in the game.

And we"re 8-0, and you're team is not !!!

And while I am biased, Keali'i Ah Yat has clearly outplayed your transfer QB Lamson thus far by almost any measure !!!

Yes, the Griz have an excellent team this year. I agree Looking forward to the Brawl.

I thought we should have been pushing for Huot to be the guy instead of Ah Yat to show the bubs we are winning the in state recruiting battle.

Funny 😁 !!! Since it's been several years since NDSU went undefeated in the regular season and this game is in undefeated at home UND's house in Grand Forks, and UND hasn't lost since they we barely beat them in a come-from-behind win at WA-GRIZ on Sept. 13, 24-23, I would say ND has a definite shot at the upset.

I hate to break it to you but while Da Bison 🦬 are very good, they haven't been invincible for many years and probably aren't this year either. NDSU isn't a figurative 10 feet tall nor do they figuratively walk on water, wa-waa. : ( !!!

Not saying they’re unbeatable, but in what world would you see our defense stopping them rn?

I think we can offensively go toe to toe with anyone, but our defense has not shown up all season. With an OL like the Bison’s, things could get ugly quick
