NDSU v Montana Game

I was expecting it to be closer, too. Still another half to go.
 
Terrific 1st half defense. Very few open looks for NDSU. Breunig is controlling this game. It looks like he can do what he wants, when he wants, and how he wants this game. Much better perimeter shooting so far with Gfeller, Gregory, Breunig, and Lopez all hitting from 3. A couple of really nice passes from Dunn, Weisner, and Gregory. Another dunk from Breunig, he is good for a few dunks each game.

Awesome surprise interview for us at halftime. Kareem Jamar stopping by Missoula after coming back from Greece. What a great interview by Mick. Funny, Kareem saying he wants to see Mario find a mean streak. I agree with him. Kareem saying he loves Montana, and it is like home for him. He wants to move to Montana later in his life. Props to Kareem for his time here and his passion for the GRIZ and Montana. I wish we could get former player interviews at halftime of every home game.

Here is to the GRIZ having a solid 2nd half with consistent scoring. I hope they can close out NDSU quickly here.
 
#3 paul miller with a 3... he's a freshman and is gonna be good.

but NDSU cant play defense, I mean, womens teams play harder defense than this.

I keep "Gametracker" open in an adjacent window. It has more information than the usual screen scoreboard.

Yeah, doing the same, but it really isn't that hard to at least have the score on the screen. It looked like they were trying to hatch it during the first half with that random line across the screen but it was aborted and they just gave up.

This game has moved incredibly fast. Can't believe it's almost over. 62-48 with under two minutes left.

Breunig is a man amongst boys lately. No wonder Maryland and Washington wanted him. So glad he wound his way to us. Just wish we had him for more than 2 years. It's a shame more of Missoula isn't out to watch he and the Griz in person. Weak crowd.
 
Bison, Alexander is fun to watch. Sorry the game wasn't more exciting, though. Glad the Griz had a game go the way they wanted for once!

Hope you guys win the rest of your games. Thanks for stopping by the board. Griz with probably their best game of the year so far. Shot a good percentage and out-rebounded someone for once. Good things happen when you rebound.

Oh, and only 13 fouls in this game. Are we sure this was a Big Sky crew? That doesn't seem right.
 
Gregory with back to back good scoring games. His shot and confidence were much better this game though. Looks like Breunig and Gregory are top 2 scorers. The 3rd scorer will vary game to game. Breunig and Dunn sure have some hops. Breunig is fun to watch. He doesn't have a weakness in his game.

I have a feeling Weisner will be out the next game. That ankle turn looked nasty. Good thing he won't miss many games because of the break in games over Christmas break. I really would like to see the GRIZ find 1 more double digit scorer. Right now it looks like Weisner, Edmonds, Gfeller, and Dunn will exchange that role. I'm still waiting to see Dunn penetrate more. He is a terrific creator, just needs to do it more often.
