NDSU Staff with new HC

When new HCs get hired they often make wide scale changes on their respective staffs. NDSU appears to be attempting something different, as of this afternoon NDSU has elevated their LBer coach and DLine coach to co-defensive coordinators while also keeping their DE coach and their DB coach. The only coach not renewed was Jason Petrino the DC this past season after a very successful career at Southern Illinois, South Dakota and Rocky.

New HC has also indicated his desire to retain the entire offensive staff.

Two observations; not retaining Petrino is lunacy as he was the one staff member not completely in-bred. The LBer coach that is getting elevated was the Special Teams Coordinator last weekend when they made the wonderful decision to punt to Bergen. I predict the transition from Entz to Polasek puts some pot holes into the Bison road to Frisco for several years to come.

Well, HOW MANY starters are graduating? This might have SOMETHING to do with their 2024 performance. That they are keeping all but one of the coaching staff underlines the fact that they don't fix what ain't broke. What they do they do well. Nine NCs in 11 years is evidence to that fact.

So, what is the number of starters graduating? This might be related in some way to how well they do in 2024. They don't repair what ain't broke, as evidenced by the fact that they are keeping every member of the coaching staff but one. They excel at what they do. Eleven years and nine NCs is proof of it. pico park

Bison will continue to bison dude. Stitt would have to happen for them to completely go off the rails, and they’re not dumb enough to make that kind of mistake. Why go away from what has worked so well for them? That program ALWAYS hires from within, and it works well. I only hope we do the same if/when Bobby leaves. Keep Bradford, or Tim hauck maybe…..or go out and find someone who has had previous ties to the program……anyone from the coaching tree who knows the Hauck method, which is clearly good enough to get to a title game. I just think going outside the family bit us so damn hard that it darn near destroyed the program, and would rather NOT do that again. In short, Bison have the right of it IMO

Hoping our current coach stays put but to your point...Coaching tree aside... It would be nice to have someone who can pronounce "Havre" correctly without being corrected several times...
