NDSU outgrows the Fargodome...

The Bison have denied 1,200 season-ticket requests that would have exceeded the 12,100 cap number in their 18,700 seat venue...considering NDSU's success in a state swimming in oil tax revenue is there anybody in all of the FCS better positioned to move up into a new facility befitting an FBS program?

Does anybody really believe that the Bison are going to pass up forever big money games against Minnesota and other members of the Big Ten Conference that forbids playing down to non-FBS schools :?:

I don't think so...

What conference will take them? Not the Big 10, not the Mountain West...

I bet if they win the 2013 NC and make another run for the title in 2014, and decide to build a bigger stadium that they would possibly get looks from one of those conferences. Highly unlikely though...

If this happens, maybe the SEC will take them. At this rate, UM is going to be the only team left in FCS. All of the other 125 FCS teams will be FBS or D-II soon. At least, we'll be back to winning the conference and national championships every year.

Personally I'm waiting for Silvertip to start the "Norfolk State should move up" argument before I weigh in on the topic.

I think what we should take from this is... NDSU is moving forward & improving the program while UM is at a standstill... if not moving backwards.

Yeah. I don't post much, but I read every day. My weakness is that I'm just looking for information and well thought out opinions, but I don't pay much attention to who's saying what.

Despite what many feel, the FargoDome is a fun place to play. And with the new turf, I imagine it's even better. When I played in there of course it was nowhere near capacity but still fun.

Didn't play for the Griz, no. I played D-III. I was there for my education first, athletics second. Had a chance to play college baseball too but didn't have the time to do 2 sports and finish in 3 1/2 years.
